I took delivery of a 22 NX 350H last month. The car is beautiful and suitable for my needs. I’ve read and watched so much material on the vehicle before taking delivery and the interior seems to be a polarizing issue amongst car enthusiasts. Being this is my first car in the luxury class, I personally think it’s great overall, but there are some light touches I think Lexus could’ve done to make it more “luxurious”. From there, I’ve gone down a rabbit hole on social media and YouTube to see how interiors of other cars are laid out. To me, the best is Range Rover. It’s a perfect mix of elegance and minimalism.
What say you? Of the many luxury car brands, who do you think has the best interior? You can even call out models as well.
Materials and color choices can totally transform an interior. The same car can feel completely different with the standard interior compared to one with upgraded and extended leather, quality trim materials and careful color selections. You can’t polish a turd, material choices won’t overcome poor design, but with a fundamentally solid base interior the right option choices can take an interior from premium to luxury.
The best one is the one works best for your eyes (and your pocket). Like that Cullinan apparently because it doesn't fit my pocket. Lol My vote goes to current X5/6 and previous X7. And yes as swajames said, materials and color/design choice makes a difference too.
Bentley Flying Spur
Bentley Continental GT
LC500
High spec LS430/460 with full leather
Maybach S650
W222 refresh full leather
Toyota Century (can't personally confirm)
My D4 W12
VW phaeton
Current gen G-wagon with full leather
Rolls Royce Phantom 8
Those are the ones that have stood out to me as being exceptionally nice and I've found myself staring at/interacting with them a lot. Materials choice on the Lexus cars are a little plastic but they are made so well it's nice to run your hand over everything and actuate the controls etc.....
I also like a car to smell a certain way, Audi/Porsche have the best smell to me followed by Mercedes. I actually don't really like the Lexus scent

This is very true! I have the luxury package with palomino interior. I’m so happy I evolved from wanting the black. The peanut butter brown is so much more lux and enhances the interior. It outweighs the small gripes I have.

I agree that most people cannot afford a car like that. But the thread-question was not the most affordable interior, but the BEST interior...to me the Cullinan easily ranks at or near the top.
The newly done NX was panned for a lackluster interior. I agree. It's basically a big screen and a plain dash and minimal gauges. Not bad, but huge room for more. Overall though, I'd say the new NX is a very nice choice and I'd consider it, regardless of the dash design.
As far as other makes, I'd put Audi at the top. They have a lot of style and have mostly avoided the big, tacked on rectangular screen look that so many have adopted.
Another point of topic is Honda. Most of their dashed have been very fluid and stylish. Then the new Civic came along with a very plain and boring "T" style look. Sadly, the rest of the line is adopting the same plain look and people think it's a good thing to be getting such lacking design. I don't get it. It's one of the most boring and cheap designs to come along in a long time.
This one won't impress anyone, it's not a high end car.
Almost bought it a few years ago and I really liked the interior.
I wanted those white gauges, for some reason I think they look COOL.
I didn't pull the trigger and it was several years ago, a Buick Rendezvous.
(Rondezvous and I'm through with you.) Yes, that was a nice look for a while. The white gauge thing was pretty trendy, with the Nissan (Maxima) starting things. Buick has had some nice interiors recently, and I'd put them near the top of the GM crown for their efforts. One of their smaller SUV's in particular is very appealing and stylish inside and out.
.......IMO, it still is. And so is the 1Gen Enclave.

I think you are referring to the Encore GX. I own one myself.
