They wanted a $10K ADM on the top spec one they had, no ADM on the others. Don't think they will get away with the ADM lol

If they get it it will only be very early on, Mazda doesn't sell a high volume of cars and this vehicle isn't going to change that. With the $10K ADM $67,000 for a Mazda CX-90 doesn't make any sense.

Nope. For that $$, I'll spend a few thousand more and get an X5.
So I went and drove one of these (back to back with an Aviator and a Telluride. Its a super good looking vehicle, IMO...it has a really unique and attractive look, the sides kind of flare out as you go down the side towards the ground. i think its easily the prettiest non-luxury 3 row crossover.
Some pictures. This is a pretty high spec but not loaded Turbo S model with an MSRP of $57k:
Not sure if what I'm talking about will come out in this picture, but the sides flare out as you do down the side
Inside, the vehicle is very nice, definitely tighter than the Telluride, even tighter than the Aviator to be quite honest. Disqualifier for me is the second row captains chairs are too close together for my dog to walk from the third row between them to the front. In the Aviator and the Telluride they are further apart...
Ride and drive, the vehicle is quite taut. The Telluride and the Aviator are both softer, the CX-90 definitely feels more dynamic and engaging, engine note is much stronger. The inline 6 is super smooth and powerful, and the one I drove was not the S model but the lower powered model. The engine in the Telluride while also being very smooth and refined felt lethargic at times in comparison.
All in all, if my wife for some reason absolutely loved this, I would be very happy with it, but it doesn't seem like the right vehicle for us. Overall, very well done though and someone who wants a dynamic engaging vehicle but needs a 3 row, this is a great option...
nice feedback thanks for sharing. i would not have put this in the same league as the aviator but that's cool you did. telluride was closer to this but after going RWD it surely is in the aviator market.
was the telluride in the same price point? i would think it's the cheapest option of the 3.

I think it depends on the Aviator, if its a higher spec Aviator with air suspension then no, its a cut above...but if its a lower trim one with the standard suspension, then a Turbo S model CX-90 compares for sure.
The Telluride I drove was an EX, so lower price point, but we would get a SX or SX-L Telluride which is still cheaper than the CX90 but lacks the power from the S model engine. The CX-90 I drove was comparable to a Telluride in spec, the one I drove was not the one pictured, it had unpainted plastic cladding etc.

Yes it is, I noticed the X7 is similar.
The Mazda just has beautiful smooth curves to its shape which makes it look very upscale.

If you do seriously consider it, spend some extra time with the infotainment system. I find the system in the CX-30 a bit frustrating. But my son drives this car to school, so I only have a handful of trips in it.

Yeah it’s not the greatest, but we would just use CarPlay.
