Thanks for taking the shots, Jill. I see you were at an old-car show. Actually, that WAS an MM "special"....a mid-size 1969 Buick Special Deluxe Sport Wagon. I got my first Driver's License, in high school, that year. I actually owned a (used) previous 1965 version of that car, but only for a few months....decided I wanted something bigger, as I liked full-sized cars the best. Hence my big, Cadillac-sized Buick Electra in college that I never forgot...its memory was one reason why finally I got my Lacrosse, some 45 years later.
Hi everyone TGIF!!!
I haven't had a day off in almost 2 months.
Very grateful for the business and not complaining but thanks to the "chip shortage" customers need things fixed fast since they can't wait 6 months for replacement parts for their machines from europe. lol
Anyay, embarassing to say my car is disgusting and filthy inside and out and was thinking yesterday dang I need to get the shop vac out here. haha
Stopped my Mercedes today to buy a couple quarts of oil (I got a add a quart of oil warning) and saw some cars, including a couple new SLs which are VERY sharp! $30k markups.
Check out this markup on this Maybach GLS!
Also, booked our rental car for Disney week after next. It was only $80 for the week to upgrade from a minivan to an Escalade! So I did that lol

I agree the processing fee is B.S., but it can be very difficult to avoid. Most dealerships will give you every excuse in the book why they have to charge it, would rather cancel the deal than delete it. And if you think $499 is bad in Maryland (where it is state-regulated), there are no limits for processing fees at all in VA.....I've seen it as high as $899.
Of course, all of that pales in comparison to the 100K mark-up...that dealership is nuts.
So I added a 1/2 quart of oil to the S560. It has no dipstick, it has a readout on the dash. The other day it told me to add a quart of oil. When I had it changed it was right at the "MIN" line, and it looks like it fell just beneath. I figured 1/2 a quart would put it right in the middle. Man what an annoying process that is. Add oil, then the meter on the dash won't read if the oil cap it off or if the hood is open, then it has to run to operating temp and can take up to 30 minutes to register a level when oil has been added. Makes getting the level right an AWFUL ordeal. What is wrong with a dipstick again?!?

Yeah. A real PITA with no dipstick. Now you see why some fight for the dedicated AC button

I totally get why the dealer didnt tweak it to get it into the middle range, they'd have to bill me for another half hour! Luckily I was right and the 1/2 quart put it right in the middle and I didnt have to mess with it any more.

Well MB doesn’t get $$ when you use the dipstick…..
