I thought this was pretty cool. I joined this Facebook group called "Old dealership pictures" and people post pictures of old ads and old dealers etc. This is a car lease from 1932! If anybody thinks car leasing is a new thing, its not:

i can't quite make it out... but does the lessee's signature say mmarshall?
Booked a new Lexus RX 350 today.
Comes with ~5K worth of additional factory installations. Dealer quotes 53.6K. Neogtiated 1K. And booked. Did not go for any of the maintenance packages. Is this a good buy?

Try again. I've never leased a vehicle in my life.
My late father, though, owned a 1941 Buick....almost as old as the one in the image. He got bitten by the Slant-Six bug, though, in the 1960s, when Plymouth and Dodge introduced the Valiant and Dart...and he was hooked for life.

I was touring a new listing a friend of mine was putting on yesterday and another guy we know pulled up in a 2000 Audi S8, he loves old Audis and Porsches. It was STUNNING...
This isn't it, but an example of what it was"
Gosh, the golden era of luxury cars. Pretty sure that had a glorious NA 340hp V8, and possibly had a stick shift overseas? I could be wrong.
That car isn't "fast" for the day but certainly back then luxury cars were fast enough. 20 years later my LS430 is still plennnnnty quick.
Thanks for taking the shots, Jill. I see you were at an old-car show. Actually, that WAS an MM "special"....a mid-size 1969 Buick Special Deluxe Sport Wagon. I got my first Driver's License, in high school, that year. I actually owned a (used) previous 1965 version of that car, but only for a few months....decided I wanted something bigger, as I liked full-sized cars the best. Hence my big, Cadillac-sized Buick Electra in college that I never forgot...its memory was one reason why finally I got my Lacrosse, some 45 years later.
