Lol okay maybe a litttttttle. But not a new or newer one come on. But my friend can screw off. Porsche just can’t do anything wrong. When I bytched to him about not being able to spec out a base car with just a stick and no options he had excuse after excuse blah blah.
Tell the friend that Porsche is just a gussied up Volkswagen

I don't view Chevrolet as redneck in any way.
BTW. I think this is the ultimate SUV. Did you know that there is a choice of two V8s?

I've always liked the fact that the Corvette was mainstream brand "Chevrolet" and is not under luxury name. Vehicles like the Land Cruiser, the VW Phaeton with a V12, a Toyota Century are some other vehicles that I find very attractive. I thought Hyundai Genesis was way better than the new Genesis branding.....As of the new gen Corvette, over time it will work on me. We saw a man the other day with a convertible version and it really looked quite good, it was like a ice blue colour which looked great. I've seen two Toyota Celsiors in my life, both RHD imports and I like the Toyota nomenclature more than I even have the Lexus badging. I also grew up when there was no Lexus and there Toyotas such as the Supra, the Cressida, MR2 and Land Cruiser...so for me, the Lexus brand is just high end Toyota, I remember when the Lexus brand was introduced in North America, it was at the same time as the new Toyota logo...at the same press conference. And growing up dealers were always split Toyota/Lexus in the same building for a very long time.
I think it's safe to say you are Toyota biased. I've owned both Toyota and Lexus, more Lexus than Toyota. I don't see the way you see it. Lexus, while looks are subjective, is just different. I had a 4Runner before too. Bought it new... Being young and stupid.... I didn't really spend time test driving. Hated it right on the way home. That feel lingered over a decade or so. I was reluctant to get GX but after a thorough test drive, I went with it. GX, on the other hand, drives/feels very different. This discrepancy, IMO, is the same across all sizes and shapes in this Toyota/Lexus family. I love Corvette for its look mainly. Never sat inside until C8 at an auto show. Really don't remember how it looks inside now but still want it. Lol.
The Vette is a great sport/track car but 1000% is "redneck", totally different type of owner vs a 911 person. However it has the correct amount of cylinders so it wins be default lol!
Chevy being a little redneck is not a bad thing. That has sold as many Chevys as it’s stopped the sale of…
Personally, the Chevy brand doesn’t appeal to me, because that doesn’t appeal to me. I would choose the identical GMC, which is why I think GMC still exists BTW.
I've owned Chevy and Porsche, at the same time now that I think of it. lol
Also owned jacked up trucks and Euro cars.
Maybe I'm a little "redneck" too, proud of it.
Disclaimer, I don't think of redneck as an insult because it has nothing to do with education, income, or geography but more to do with personality.
>> In the movie Fast & Furious- Vin Diesel and Jason Statum are both "rednecks" with very different styles and cars, just my opinion!

The corvette isn't exactly a "big engine dumb car". Has an interesting rear suspension design, for example (leaf springs with integrated ARB). The newer camaros/mustangs/whatever are faaaaar from dumb muscle cars as well. The old ones - let's say that there are plenty of enthusiasts pushing their limits (I'm talking about chassis tuning, everybody knows about the powertrains ).
Anyways, whatever "redneck" is supposed to mean. Like... people having fun their own way?

"Correct number of cylinders", ur definately a V-8(or more lol) muscle kinda guy, nothing wrong with that!
They both get the job done but in a very different way. lol
I'll take the 911 over the Vette every time if given the choice but that's just me.
So I went to a meet yesterday with the Lexus crew, and on my way home, I thought I felt a nail or other object stuck in my tire. It was making a tapping sound, and I could feel it, almost as if I was hitting a small bump every so often. I determined that it wasn't the road surface and decided to pull over. I was bracing myself for the worst.
After moving the car once to make sure I got a good look at the entire tread, I found the problem. Nail? Nope. Razor blade? Not even close. It was a piece of caution tape that had somehow gotten stuck to my tire.
