Id rather have a Corvette than I would a Porsche. Never really found a 911 that appealing. I think a Panerama is nice though.
last gen corvette is better styled than the new model. But the new one is growing on me.
Oh I agree C7 looks better than C8. And you could get a manual transmission. Just my friend, the pure hate he has for GM it's pretty ridiculous. He won't give the new Escalade V any credit, just complained that it jumps high off the line. I got him to at least admit that GM pretty much has the best air conditioning out there. The only cooled seats that I ever used and noticed that work are in that Buick in my family. They are beyond worthless in both Lexus vehicles we own...heaters are great but the cooling does nothing.
I respect Porsche but just not really my thing, neither are sports cars.
My Porsche-snot friend told me that a Corvette is redneck. I laughed my *** off. I was like "at least they don't charge you $4000 for power windows like Porsche."
I just found that highly, highly amusing. A junked Camaro, sure, redneck. A new Corvette are you kidding me????
Its a lil redneck lol
Chevy as a brand is a little redneck, and the Corvette is like the “redneck sports car”. I know lots and lots of people in the hollers of West Virginia that want Corvettes, or have old Corvettes. It’s an “Americana” thing, and often things that are Americana are a lil redneck.
I would counter to him, that may be true but Porsches are pretentious, snobby and douche-ey. Which is also a “lil true”

Their Corvette and trucks maybe. But the Chevrolet brand is not redneck with their small cars, and crossover. Nothing redneck about the TrailBlazer or Equinox models

Whenever I hear "Chevy Blazer", I get a mental picture of an early 90ies Blazer in "refrigerator white" color, squeaking doors, french fries stuck between the seats, yellowed out headlights, and just overall sad. Most certainly redneck, lol.

But think about it. The new Blazer is an entirely new demographic…nothing like the blazer demographic you are thinking about.

Let's be honest, maybe a little redneck... hahahaha
You know it, j/k.

the iata code for the simón bolívar international airport in caracas, venezuela is ccs. caracas is also abbreviated as ccs. so it could be a reference to caracas, venezuela if it read ccs instead of css. are you certain it was css?
Lol. Am I that old already?

This is nice. Such a beauty. I remember my mentor told me when it was coming out... "I'm number ... on the wait list."

I love Corvettes, all last three generations. I too would rather have a Corvette over a Porsche. Talking about not liking the things you can't afford. Lol. I heard people talking about how great the engines sound. I paid attention a few times when I went to car meets... it sounded like broken pipes to my ears. I guess I'm not enthusiastic enough.

I've always liked the fact that the Corvette was mainstream brand "Chevrolet" and is not under luxury name. Vehicles like the Land Cruiser, the VW Phaeton with a V12, a Toyota Century are some other vehicles that I find very attractive. I thought Hyundai Genesis was way better than the new Genesis branding.....As of the new gen Corvette, over time it will work on me. We saw a man the other day with a convertible version and it really looked quite good, it was like a ice blue colour which looked great. I've seen two Toyota Celsiors in my life, both RHD imports and I like the Toyota nomenclature more than I even have the Lexus badging. I also grew up when there was no Lexus and there Toyotas such as the Supra, the Cressida, MR2 and Land Cruiser...so for me, the Lexus brand is just high end Toyota, I remember when the Lexus brand was introduced in North America, it was at the same time as the new Toyota logo...at the same press conference. And growing up dealers were always split Toyota/Lexus in the same building for a very long time.

Lol oh don’t worry he got plenty of counter from me. 8 cylinders are better than 6, IDC what people say including him. And the way Porsche nickel and dimes is worth criticism. I tried to just spec out a base 911 with a manual and I had to spend all this money just for that. Literally a base 911 with absolutely nothing extra, standard manual…. I would have had to pay extra for this base car. I know the PDK is amazing, but I don’t go to racetracks, don’t care about 0-60 times down to a tenth, and I like stick shift cars as I’ve owned several. I can’t even imagine the bliss of a 911 stick.
All that said, I will absolutely say Chevy is like Apple Pie and Budweiser. But I just can’t say a brand new expensive Corvette is redneck. Yes there are plenty of redneck Chevrolets though. I have a red neck GMC that needs to go. Lol.

Nobody can doubt that, like a freezer.
Lol okay maybe a litttttttle. But not a new or newer one come on. But my friend can screw off. Porsche just can’t do anything wrong. When I bytched to him about not being able to spec out a base car with just a stick and no options he had excuse after excuse blah blah.
