Been inside one and its probably the best put together Toyota - can't even flex the center console. Feels like it would last.

Yes, Toyota but compared to LX or even RX... overall it looks cheap IMO. I can't pin point to what and how exactly. I guess it's because it is what it is. IMO the screen itself is enough to kill it. Why so much black around the viewable area? Looks like a dated computer screen. BTW, can Navi be displayed on the whole screen now or still half of it?
Am I the only one that thinks the smells are different? Lexus smell is very pleasant like BMW and MB. The materials must be really different or differently treated to have such a difference.

I'm just glad they kept the old school shifter. It feels like it's made of kryptonite, at least in the older ones. I don't think that looks cheap, just tough and durable. But not very luxurious, at least as it should be.

Looks like the same screen as a Lexus IS. I don’t think it looks cheap at all. Looks like a Toyota to me

Wait... we compare LX to IS now? Of course pre home button free iPhones don't look cheap either. Looks like an Apple to me. Why make a big screen with less viewable area these days? I just looked at the new LX again it does have some black spaces around too but not too to-your-face kind of thing. It looks like it also has higher resolution/better quality? Tried to search it up but couldn't find it. As for screens, IMO German cars have the best. I can play 1080 on my whole wide screen if the video format is right.

You won't catch me in red pants, but I'm on my second IS with a red interior now. I had Rioja Red on my 2016 and now Circuit Red on my 2021. The Circuit Red is a bit brighter but not annoying to me. Here it is.

I think red is more commonplace on cars now but still not something I see every day - well, other than this one lol.

Car and Driver was first to turn into EV drivel but Motor Trend is right behind them. Here’s how much they hate engines:

“With no engine sucking, banging…..” what a joke. This is literally the first sour note I’ve ever read from one of the big guys about the Hyundai 3.3t being “unrefined”. Never driven one but have heard nothing but good things.

Its hyperbole, its meant to be an exaggeration. Once you drive an EV, your definition of smooth changes. NO engine is anywhere near as smooth as an EV, and once you actually became accustomed to an EV I bet going back to an ICE would be really hard. Its like when I drive the Pacifica, to me the powertrain is coarse, slow, the transmission gearing is lazy and obtuse...because of what I am used to. But...people talk about how smooth the Pentastar V6 is...

It makes perfect sense to me that an EV G80 would feel better than an ICE G80, especially when you realize most of them are 4 cyl. The added weight also improves the ride.

That’s all I’ll say. At least it looks good, like the regular version. That’s nice.

EVs are cars, only stands to reason we'll discuss them. What we can't let it become is a pro vs anti EV argument thread!

So far so good with my tires, I have even left them aired at 35 PSI where I was running the Michelins at 31. I'm going to air them down to 33 tomorrow morning and see what I think...

Was finally able to get the car washed today, it was filthy. Attached are some pictures of the tires dressed. So silly the "Michelin great, everything else bad" mentality people have...

Ha. There was a time when Michelin was great. Now there are other brands that do tires really well. I’ve also learned that long tire wear doesn’t mean great tire/ride/handing

If anything it’s often the opposite…

I will say for the Pacifica I would probably put a set of Michelin CrossClimates on it.

Looks excellent, what treatment do you use? Rub or spray? Airing them down will dull them out a little, they will still be better than the MXMs though in terms of handling and grip.

As far as Michelin vs the others I usually just pick whatever suits what I am doing best and go with that...it just so happens Goodyear and Michelin happen to be the best for that. The 430s CC+s are now at mileage warranty limit with all the abuse I put them though and they never had any issues or deformities etc....and they retained about 80-90% of stock performance with the only real issue being they got loud 30k miles into their 40k lifespan. I expected this and the CC2s are supposed to address this so hopefully they deliver on that. They also last for 60k and are less aggressive, remains to be seen how much of a downgrade that aspect is since I get leery of tires that last more than 30-40k miles since that means they usually suck for grip.
