It’s a figure of speech. We are talking about the 200 series anyway, there is no LC to compare it to. LX has a much nicer interior though.
2013 LX vs LC:

They really widened the gap in 2016:

Land Cruiser looks plenty nice inside but LX is nicer. They’re both tanks; there’s no difference there.

Lol and that’s fine. It does have AHC while LC has KDSS. A rebadged Lexus version of a LC—there is zero shame in that. You get LC capability with Lexus goodies, flagship Lexus goodies at that (ML Reference sound, etc.), thrown in.

I think the seat shape is better/more luxurious in LX, the leather is higher quality. LC has fake wood which I’m not a fan of.

This is really nitpicking though, both are great trucks.

I see what ya'll are saying.
The Lexus trim package looks so good to me.

Both look good but I think I like the Lexus better.

It doesn't mean a LC isn't a completely luxurious and comfortable place to spend time... just, LX is better.

I like both. Just like the LC more. AHC is offered on the LC but not in the US. It’s the same vehicle, just different interiors. Your LX interior had a better design than the refresh. Remote touch

Just swap AHC into the LC, it will work if you really want it. It still doesn't address the other ways the LX outclasses it

The remote touch is awful. The screen and tech is old but everything is very, very easy to use in the older one. Lots of buttons. I minimally even use the screen. That said, the '16 upgrade is nicer if one can deal with remote touch. I'd hope it would become at least somewhat intuitive after owning one for a while. They really updated it with the new woods and red leather, etc. But yes the old one was dead easy to use, everything falls to hand.

Fair enough. But that's only because of the AHC, the lower tow rating, and AHC is reason alone to choose LX. It raises and lowers, automatically adjusts in driving, automatically starts to raise you when it senses you're off roading. Plus it provides a very plush ride and is very durable. I thought all the settings would be complete BS. There's sport, comfort, and in between. I use them all about equally. Comfort gives you nice rebound while sport tightens up the steering. I probably like the in between setting the best.

Edit: AHC also, you can set it, to lower the truck when you turn it off for easy ingress and out, and it raises back up when you hit about 10MPH driving off. All of this is done seamlessly. It's been a godsend earlier, right after my back surgery. It even self adjusts/works gracefully like a Lexus would.

Agree that the last generation LC is a lot behind the LX with the interior, but the LC 300 (top trim) have closed the gap - which is the one I'm referring to (understand it's not offered in the US?).
Been inside one and its probably the best put together Toyota - can't even flex the center console. Feels like it would last.

Wow, that really is a beautiful interior! I don't usually like beige/cream interiors but that's great.

.
All true. But some prefer a more truck like ride. A cream puff ride is not for everyone. I don''t think the outgoing LX looks very attractive with the refreshed spindle grille. I think the Land Cruiser looks better in every model year. Still surprised the Land Cruiser has semi-aniline leather on all models where the LX has it as an extra cost option. It is the same same semi-aniline material BTW. The Land Cruiser and LX are the same vehicles at the end of the day. Shame Toyota no longer sells it in the US....BIG MISTAKE

Yeah we in the USA don't get that, for now at least. Maybe/probably never. There is a damn 4 year waiting list for a 300 Cruiser.

Experienced having gas pumped for me in NJ during the labor shortage. What a nightmare. ONE guy, pumping gas and manning the store. I went in to get a drink after he finally hooked me up to the pump and there was a huge line, I just put the pump back myself and drove off LOL

Like I said, I think one would get used to it after actually owning the car!! I love that '16 interior.

Yeah it's illegal to pump your own gas there, and Oregon...and I think Oregon did away with it. That would take some getting used to.

I've never gotten gas in NJ. I'll always make sure I have enough leaving PA, NY, CT or MA to not stop there.
