They were definitely cool!
Not winter yet, but definitely a foggy morning before it all cleared off to a sunny day. Sunny and about 72 degrees today, but it'll all change very quickly and be back to dark, rainy weather in a few more weeks.

Wish my RX330 had them.
I do think your RX330 would look weird with popups though.
The kicker is that the original SC400 came out around the same time and was the superior car for literally half the price. Road tests talked all about it, this isn’t my opinion. It drove better and had just as stout or stouter engineering as that 8 series.
Crazy to think how big of a beast the Lexus brand once was, with minimal cars.

Depends on what you’re looking for. Not a sports car but a great cruiser. If you wanted a sports car it wasn’t for you.
Yet that 8 Series is a more desirable classic than the SC, therein lies the issue we have always had with Lexus even though they have made many great cars.
At the time the LS for instance was giving Mercedes fits, but today in the cool old car classic department nobody would choose an old LS400 over a W126 S Class. The Germans just have a staying power that Lexus hasn’t matched.

That's a valid point and pretty interesting to think about. I love Lexus, vividly remember being an early teen when my parents bought a 1992 LS400. I liked that car so much that when I was 25, I bought a 1996 LS400 (this was in 2004) with 180k miles on it just because I remember loving their LS so much. What 25 year old buys an LS400??! It didn't disappoint me, I loved that car. But fast forward to today, and I'd absolutely pick a vintage S class over an early 90's LS - regardless of the cost to repair or maintain. The S class is just a cooler car. Now if it was a late 90's S class vs. a 98-00 LS, that might be a different outcome...
