Those rims look sort of EV-ey, I think maybe MB is trying to integrate some of the looks of EVs into the really desirable high end remaining ICE cars.
Mistake in my opinion, if that's what they're doing.
I'm not trying to start a debate with the following, just stating a fact. The Mercedes EVs are NOT selling around here. I haven't seen one on the roads, at the dealer (I drive thru there once a week bc used car manager stocks exotics) they're stacked and have $12,500 off thingys plastered on the front windshields. Like, the same ones sitting there for a long time. I'm constantly driving around town still daily for xen and the doctors said that's good for posture etc, I'm just not seeing any of them at all.
OTOH Teslas are dizzying the amount I see, they sure have the market cornered.
*Not trying to start yet another EV vs whatever war lol*
Seeing that the engine air filter and cabin air filter were so filthy on the Pacifica I decided I would do the engine filters on the S560. The cabin air filters (there are 2) will be done at the B service it goes in for when we get back from the beach, but I couldn't find any record of them ever having done the engine air filters, they did the cabin filters at the last B service at 20k miles. Did some research and it turns out the factory schedule doesnt call for the filters to be replaced until 50k miles, which seems crazy to me. So I went over to MB and bought them yesterday. First of all, you wanna hear a markup? The OEM filters at the dealer were $88 each, so $176 for the pair. MANN filters which are very good quality filters a lot of german car guys use are $23 each. Check out the filter...OEM MB filters ARE MANN filters lol. What a ripoff:
My daughter decided she wanted to help. Of course the screws are weird TORX screws, but luckily I had the right driver. Interesting that the screws dont back all the way out like they do on the Pacifica so they can't be dropped down into the engine bay.
Ready to get started
Super helpful!
They were pretty dirty, glad I didn't wait another 10k miles.

Really cool to see you letting your kid help out. I am little surprised MB has a set mile interval.
