Swapping out the runflats was the first thing I did on my E90, and I never went back. Thankfully the G80 didn't come with them in the first place.

Same with my S560. Car had 300 miles on it.

My car was a demo with 9k miles, and they well over half worn already. I sold all 4 for $50.

My friends Chevy Bolt EV has run flat tires and no spare.

Says no spare is to give more space but if cars are made with nowhere to put the spare, pretty much stuck with run flats.

Both my cars have no run flats and no spares. Pacifica came from the factory that way.

What the hell?

You have to call a tow truck if you get a flat that can't be plugged on the side of the road?
I keep a plug kt in my car at all times and I've used it!

It comes with a fix a flat kit and a pump. In 25 years of driving I have only one time had a flat so bad I needed to put the spare on. Doesn’t bother me at all.

I kept mine so that I could turn my leased car in with new tires but instead remounted them when I sold the car since the tires I replaced them with were pretty worn.

Cell phones and the obvious ability to call someone have made spare tires pretty obsolete in my opinion. All I need my spare for is off roading if I pop a tire.

You say that until you are in a situation where you need one in the worst time. I was traveling back from Buffalo which is about 7 hours away and I got a flat in PA about one and a half hours from home on a Sunday at 7:30pm. I don’t know what I ran over but the hole was big where the air ran out in 10 seconds and a fix a flat wouldn’t have worked. Thank god I had a spare to get home. On a Sunday night there wasn’t anything open and even a tow truck would’ve taken an hour.

yes i don't think i will be changing out my run flats for non run flats on the lc500. i feel i'd be a pretty decent 'target' if stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat.
my santa fe though also has no spare, and reg tires and a supplied fix a flat kit and inflator.
when i had my genesis g90 i got a flat a few months into ownership (nail) and was very thankful i had a spare. i still ended up in a sketchy motel parking lot changing it in 90 degree heat, so got it done quickly.

A tow truck would have taken an hour. An hour is not that long in a once every several decade situation IMO.

Runflats won’t save you in a situation like patglims, you need another wheel. That’s my issue with them they’re not really that beneficial.
