Can I throw my own in? I’ve received mad attention over it from LC people.

Thanks! I hear stories of people with FJ40s and 80 series. The A/C guy at our house had an 80 series and hated that he sold it.

Guy I worked with a long time ago had an LC in the 1979-1981 range, not exactly sure. His license plate was MYFJ40. He got VERY tired of explaining it wasn't an obscene reference to his "Jeep".

I have always thought about getting some sort of personalized plate, but I can never get around to doing it.

You should, especially since you have such a nice car. What's the V8 code? MB people and regular enthusiasts would get it.

Odd considering the cheaper brands/not well established are the ones that always spell it out unlike I don't know.....Audi, BMW, Toyota, GM, and the most well known of all of them.

The triple pointed star.

My Rams plate is 4O8 CID since someone in my state apparently had the same idea as me and took the one with "408" on it already. Can't tell at all on the plate though so it looks like I have a zero and not an "O"

I plan on getting a plate reading "540 FI" for my future viper since I am planning the same crank throw and rod length as my trucks engine as well as the same forced induction setup. That's gonna be an extremely pricy project though so likely won't happen till I'm in my 30s

6.8 with a Novi 2000, outruns my Audi in a straight line to 60

It was an exercise in how fast could I make a building size brick move and how well it could handle. The answer is 11.1 and actually damn close to .9 g if you don't care about a harsh as hell ride that has enough sway bar loading to slam your head into the glass at autocross events.

I took the most idiotic platform possible and made it fast to prove a point, I maxed out the 4 speeds gearing at 167 mph as well. It was my first car so like most car guys I went a bit stupid when I should have gotten something that would have ended up more badass with the same money and time into it. Stupid thing has a 14k engine and 6k trans on top of one off suspension.

It mostly sits these days since it's just flat out punishing to drive and it needs body work in a really bad way since while I sandblasted and power coated the frame the bed did develop the typical dodge rust issue. I just don't have the time to pull it off and replace it with fiberglass like I want to.

Similar to this and I'm using his super mount system but mine has a windage tray and main girdle and I have a 114* cam with a lightly different overlap and my pistons have a very different ring pack than the hellfires. There are some other minor differences like crank machine dressing and fastener changes plus hard block up to the freeze plugs that better suit what I wanted but fundamentally the same class of setup. I also went with full intercooling and meth injection to be safe vs lower compression.

Yes I was a bit stupid when I was 19.
