Atlanta has crazy amazing cars, too. Not LA level but not far off in Buckhead, etc.
LA will always be king for me. I love going down there. And no matter what Vancouver's per capita consumption is, it's not a big city. LA is HUGE so the sheer number of automotive awesomeness is unmatched. It also has a ton of fun roads to drive on and no shortage of good weather. I will never forget my first time there in my early 20s when I was driving up through the Hollywood Hills in a rental sedan thinking I was hustling and somehow a last-gen G-wagen was pressed to my rear bumper. I couldn't believe someone would dare drive that thing to its limits with those steep dropoffs lol.

Yeah I could list all the places we always went outside around our area to eat/cocktails and car/people watch. That's why I also bytch about the C63 and this awful 4 cylinder combo, I know full well how that huge V8 sounds bc there were so many high end Mercedes everywhere. We loved Saddle Ranch patio bc of the cars, that's just one place.
Los Angeles is the undisputed king of the world for cars. Even in crappy areas you'll see cars so nice/rare you'll be like WTF.
Miami Beach has a lot of the exotic supercars, but Palm Beach has a mixture of everything. High end luxury cars, exotics, rare classics, etc. It's really weird how accustomed we have gotten to seeing Rolls Royce's.

Agreed. My grandparents live in Boca most of the time. My grandpa has a Phantom Drophead lol.

Yes, in LA I’d drive a few blocks down the street for Burger King lol and pass literally 2 Rolls Royces. They were everywhere.
In LA there was this guy with this stunning Wraith coupe we think who was a big player and/or mack or sugar daddy for the hot chicks in our building. I would always see him parked out front and with a different woman each time. Haha.

I also think I have talked my wife into an SUV when we replace the Pacifica next year. Issue is, its gonna cost me lol. She wants a GLS.
will the GLE not do the job? that's what i 'convinced' my parents to replace the C300 coupe with but it's been a total train wreck so far... there's a good amount of GLE350s available with the same 2.0 turbo that's in the already somewhat sluggish C300, but as my dad said "that's no fun!"
the GLE450 with that nice 3.0 inline 6 and 48 volt system is very difficult to find (like near impossible) so it was a factory order and the whole process has dragged on for months, with the delivery date constantly being pushed back... 'the car' was actually already delivered once but with the wrong options, and now the delivery date is supposed to be within a month or so

Both GLEs are fine vehicles IMO. Perfect vehicles for family and long distant traveling. Looks nice enough at stops too.

No, we would need the GLS for the big third row and the space as the family vehicle. If I were getting one for me to daily I would get a GLE.

to have 255 hp in an SUV that weighs nearly 5000 lbs just isn't enough... and it's from a 2.0 turbo so when you're out of the boost it's just complete slug mode
i think it's nearly 7½ seconds 0-60, a brand new GLE shouldn't be getting out-dragged by a 15 year old highlander lol

Yep. I see them and they look great but then I realize a junk 2.0t provides the propulsion so I have no desire. Not just this car.
A 2000 E320 did 0-60 in about that time, maybe a tad faster and it had a really nice V6 engine that felt silky and proper and drove luxuriously. I remember that gen well. The engine was quite nice and part of the appeal of the car. 2.0t that shuts off at lights all designed around fuel economy you just can't get around the downsides, IDC what kind of car it's in.
(Using E-Class as an example, people who bought E-Class sedans then certainly would be ideal for GLE, now much later that sedans are dead.)
