Trying to figure out a way to have my car or phone issue an alert when the car is put in park and the power is turned off. The charger is hidden away, nicely, but I'm constantly forgetting to grab my phone.
Any ideas?
I could set a geographic reminder, but that means putting in my destination for everything.

Welcome to CL as a new poster.
You didn't say what kind of vehicle or Smart-phone you have...but, even so, I don't entirely agree with xjokerz's "LOL" comment. IMO, you ask a legitimate question, although, in truth, most vehicles and phones are probably not set up with an option like what you want on the menu.
What I would suggest is, if the wireless-charger is in a place that is difficult to see or hidden away, you simply use a cord and conventionally recharge the phone by plugging it into an outlet inside the vehicle.....most recent vehicles have one. While it is charging inside the vehicle, let the phone rest on a spot where you easily see it and are not likely to just walk off and forget to take it .......maybe on the console, passenger-seat, or inside a bag next to you. I wouldn't recommend letting it sit on the dash, however, because it could become a flying missile if your vehicle hits something and the dash-air-bags go off.

love my santa fe... if i leave the phone in the wireless charger, turn off the car and open the door, a noise and the display will indicate that i've left the phone in the charger, so i never forget it.
that and the feature that tells me if the car in front of my has driven off because the light went green, are awesome features.
If you have a Galaxy you can program it to send a notification when it disconnects from your car Bluetooth or when it connects to your home wifi....or if you arrive home.

a notification to where though. if it's a notification to the phone and WWgolfer has left it in the car... not too helpful.

That's a nice feature. Wish I had something similar, but in its absence I'm trying to figure a workaround. Going to look into an IFTTT solution; if I can figure out a way to have it sense the broken Bluetooth connection, that might be it. Thanks.
I don't have good memory either... so I came up with something to remind me. Every time I leave a place, I count 1, 2, 3. 1: Tap the b**t for wallet, 2: tap pant pocket for keys, 3: tap shirt pocket or the other pant pocket for phone. Never miss one again.

BMW does that too. I wonder if it's the charger or a separate sensor because due shortage some of these cars don't come with wireless chargers.

This is interesting. I was not aware of it. Can you expound on this with the Galaxy, thanks.
