Be glad, BTW, that you got an S-series. The Ion, which replaced it in the early 2000s, retained the nice plastic body panels, but was otherwise a joke.
So I've been told lol! Apparently it was really cheapened up, I know it lost the really nice rear suspension the S-series has

It lost the special Saturn-exclusive four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission combination with the nice ingenious screw-on transmission filter, substituting a generic GM drivetrain. It also went to an El Cheapo center-stack gauge design instead of keeping the gauges where they belonged...behind the steering wheel. That is a cheap design, of course, to make it easier to do both left and right-hand drive versions. Saturn reps swore up and down that it wasn't a cost-cutting move (they claimed it was done to keep the steering wheel from blocking gauges)...but that spin fooled no one.

Anyhow, back to the restoration. If it wasn't for my aging body, which makes it somewhat of a strain to get in and out of low-slung vehicles (and my relative lack of space for a second vehicle), I'd be tempted to make you an offer on it. I loved the S-Series....I thought they were among the most sensibly-designed compact cars of my lifetime.....if little plasticky inside for my tastes. (the plastic worked much better on the outside LOL) There also aren't very many places that can still service these vehicles.

Honestly man if you want it throw me a number, I actually do not want to sell it to anywhere I would not be certain it would be well cared for. I think if it went to yourself and others here it would continue to live a good life.

I'm more concerned about that vs top dollar lol! After all I'm less than $1000 into it
