gas prices are just one issue.
China isn't alone in this, a lot of US satellites are being placed between a rock and a hard place. Take most of western Europe - they have to parrot the global eco nonsense, while relying on Russian gas, their energy costs are already insane, and will skyrocket even higher. China is becoming more and more independent every year, and making pragmatic plans, in particular when seeing things like Microsoft "looking into remotely deactivating its software in Russia", etc.

100% agreed

But don’t think for one second that the political infighting within the US in not “sponsored” by China.
Hell we can’t even have athletes and movie stars speak their minds about China; just imagine the top political operatives.

I don’t care about the couple of dollars that might save me lol.

Gas prices don’t impact me financially on any level.

On the topic of gas and solar..........net metering is going to go away at some point and is already being phased out in some areas. If you guys have solar you may want to begin considering some nice battery packs.

In regards to gas most of my cars have very high mpg and highway mpg in particular so for how both me and my wife drive we usually are over 30mpg and 24-27 average if we are driving for intentional economy. Worst case scenario we always have the Saturn lol! It gets like 40 somehow, that or we would buy touring bikes and pray we don't die

I'm at 85 mpg hwy in my Polestar, we are about to visit a relative who lives in Tracy near Sacramento (the Central Valley) which is about 60 miles each way from my house. We were going to take our Sienna, but the whole trip will cost me under $6, the Sienna the fill-up will be nearly $80. I've done this same trip before, I'll be at 70 percent when I get there and 39 to 40 percent when we get home tonight, then I'll just plug in. If I stop at a super charger tomorrow to charge up it will be free.

Net metering won't go away anyway soon here, but I am thinking of adding batteries
