that was a COMMERCIAL from 11 months ago. might want to check things out before posting them.
but yes, it does have a ton of torque and hp, especially in 'cyberbeast' trim.
Well, this one wasn't staged. It happened just a couple of miles from my house, where a Cybertruck beat a Lamborghini. Unfortunately, it was irresponsibly done under dangerous conditions in a very crowded area, was investigated by the police, and the drivers were later arrested. This was only a couple of blocks, BTW, from my own Chevy/Buick/GMC dealership. There are many dealerships on that stretch of road....including a Tesla shop.
You can now lease a CyberTruck. It's not clear if the $7500 down on the lease example could be paid via Tesla passing on the EV credit they can take or if that is actual customer cash (and Tesla just keeps the credit).
A 3-year lease that totals 56% of the sticker price ($45k out of $80k) does not seem cheap at all. Especially when you then don't have the option of taking advantage of the sub-50% residual and buy it out at lease end.

So many people have shown me that video of that “race.” It was so short that I have a hard time calling it much of a race. In a 1/4 mile that Lambo would crush that cybertruck and it wouldn’t be that close.

$1,000 a month to drive something as iconic as a Cybertruck is pretty cheap. $1,000 a month payment on an $80k vehicle nowadays is pretty much what you're going to pay.
