Tesla Cybertruck
One thing about this thing of a vehicle not discussed much is how much money people have made making content about it on social media. You can whisper about it and people will yell left and right about it. Rarely does a car do this. Even today you can make a short video about it and will be one of your higher performing clips.
Even here, the view count is over 120k

Quantify what you mean by "much money". I doubt it's a lot.
It's some money, but nothing close to making a living at it - especially if it's just the Cybertruck and if you don't have millions of followers like MKBHD.
Just because a video has 100k in views doesn't mean the content creater is making a lot of money.

On YouTube, 120,000 views don't translate to a single fixed dollar amount. Instead, earnings are determined by RPM (Revenue Per Mille), which is how much a creator earns per 1,000 views after YouTube takes its cut.
For a video with 120,000 views, the payout typically falls within these ranges:
1. The Standard Range ($240 – $1,440)
For most lifestyle, gaming, or entertainment channels, the RPM usually sits between $2.00 and $12.00.Low End ($2 RPM): ~$240High End ($12 RPM): ~$1,440
2. The "High CPM" Niche ($1,800 – $3,600+)
If the video is about finance, investing, business software, or high-end technology (like Tesla or AI tools), the RPM can jump to $15.00 – $30.00+.At $25 RPM: ~$3,000
3. YouTube Shorts ($12 – $80)
If those 120,000 views are on a YouTube Short rather than a long-form video, the pay is significantly lower, often ranging from $0.10 to $0.70 per 1,000 views.Shorts Total: ~$12 to $84

I know guys, I get Youtube checks lol. Social is my life. I’m saying at a macro level. Any Cybertruck post takes off as it creates engagement. Mostly negative which is what drives engagement even more. Countless people post about the Cybertruck knowing the Algorithm will push out the content. It’s made these people checks from small ones to large ones like Whistling Diesel. All I was saying.
My million view shorts net a whopping $60 haha.

remember when elon musk said the cybertruck would be $40k and haters went berserk especially since it was never delivered for that price?
well kim java and hubby analyze the pricing especially the recent ‘briefly available’ stripped down cybertruck. very interesting. they say taking inflation into account this new version was LESS expensive than 40k was back then. they also speculate it wasn’t available for long now because they’ll need the 4680 batteries for robotaxi.

I don’t think it’s “haters”. Elon said something again and it didn’t happen again. 59k for 10 days and 60k isn’t 40.k.
He just completely missed on this one and it’s okay. Every company has missed their target before.

And unfortunately this site is starting to transform into a Tesla cult.
This whole pricing stunt hopefully teaches that a CT needs a reprice long term to succeed, unless high margin low volume sales and/or selling to SpaceX is ok
