^^^ i knew that was coming (best selling electric truck). that's a bit like being the tallest 'little person'.

with 1m+ pre-orders, selling a bunch wasn't unexpected. but if the article's premise is true that all those back orders have been filled or canceled, that doesn't bode well.

a friend of mine just got his CT so i'll be seeing it this coming weekend.
he's a HUGE tesla fan though and wealthy enough to buy whatever he wants.

A lot of those initial preorders were expecting the $40K version. Now that that's dead, I'm not surprised to see people drop their preorders

There are kind of a lot, sitting on lots in prewoned parts which tells me lots of people might have traded them in. But that doesn't necessarily mean anything. There's a million Yukons and Tahoes sitting on other lots too.

have you seen one up close in person yet?. The design is useless for a real truck work scenario especially for the price that is asked. But I think it looks cool. Total status symbol. I love the design of the exterior

What sales volume per year would success be considered? Maybe 200K. I would say 150k and I’d call it a big success 1 million pre order seems like a lot of pre orders to fulfill.

My brother just got one, he used to hate EV's, he was all about motor cars. But he loves it! build can be a bit better as there are some weaknesses in the build, but overall, for a first model cybertruck by Tesla, drives like a beast and fits everything needed for camping

But again, it is 3rd best selling any BEV in USA right now, with price being $100k+.

Literally nothing else sells that much in that range.

Torquenews is a blog that has 100 negative articles about Tesla, which is fine, so do many and many have only positive articles, but i see that momentum has shifted from OMG they cant produce any, to 5500 per month is terrible at above $100k.

With the price drop edition, it will probably go over 10k, I am sure it will still be terrible sales for many. Whole thing has became a political fud.

Hate for Tesla is real, my friend. Even from other EV owners. In the Polestar forum they celebrate any news that even remotely sounds bad, and anyone who mentions Tesla in any positive light gets attacked. But that's not a bad thing to me, being number one, everyone will try and tear you down.

Now I still think the Cyber Truck is ugly as fudge, so the miracle to me is how many people love it, which is a testament to Tesla's amazing engineering

The owners of these could have bought it and made a profit by selling it to a dealer. Every used one in my area is selling for around $125k with 3k-7k miles on it. Want a CT but don't want to wait? Pay the premium. I saw this with Bronco's and Escalades in mid/late 2021.

Yeah! I sat in one inside the dealer!!! I liked it, but not for me for that kind of money. I’d rather have the Yukon.

That said it’s neat, the driving position is good.. Total status symbol, I agree. Useless as a truck compared to real ones.

haha... as for "3rd best selling any BEV..." again, they had MASSIVE backlog from years of pre-orders so it's no surprise they've had a big surge of orders. what is surprising is seemingly HUGE numbers of people canceled those same pre-orders.

let's see how it's doing say this time next year. hopefully great!!!

price aside, why is the design 'useless'?

it seems they no longer have 1m pre-orders to fill, that many canceled having been told the truck would start at 40k and now it starts at 80k.

No shortage of that here, either. There's even a business with one with its logo and contact info plastered all over it.

There are blue ones and black ones I've seen. I'd personally just leave the stainless steel, I do love that part about the CT.

again let's see how it's doing once the novelty wears off. and with thousands on the road the celeb bling factor won't be there.

but hey, i hope it does gangbusters.

With all the reviews in, looks like a good vehicle so i don't see why wouldn't it be doing good.

Yup. If the title has "Tesla" or "Elon", it's gonna sell. The "more worser" the better!
