I mean if other cops replace Tahoes every generation at at least 70 grand a pop, I don't see a problem with buying a CT.
It's OT but I can't believe how the Cops go through Tahoes and are spending all those tax dollars for new ones. They can still last a lonnnnnnng time even when beat to hell and back.
I have a friend in NY who buys used Tohoe's from the local PD, he has two of them. He drove all the way to SoCal earlier this year in one of them. They are literally bulletproof, are reinforced, have tires you can drive over curbs at significant speeds, and usually have under 100k miles on them. All they do is strip the equipment out and pull off the decals (or paint over them)

Yep. They're also serviced like clockwork. My buddy sells Chevys and sent me the window sticker of a Tahoe the cops bought, it was at least 70 grand. You'd think they'd keep them longer. If/when they sell them I hope the money goes to a good cause.
They're all 5.3s though.... At least drop the 6.2 into the police package.
How are these selling generally? There are two more rows of them like this.
Like I've said previously, these are probably trucks already sold and waiting for pickup/delivery/transport. Tesla does not operate like a dealership. Most likely they didn't have space and rented space in the parking lot to store them temporarily

You have to keep in mind when you see that, those are deliveries - so they're spoken for and are awaiting pick up from a customer. I think overall it's doing well, but we'll hear for sure soon on the next earnings call. For me, the novelty of seeing them has worn off. That doesn't discount what it is, the driving experience, etc. I just have a ton of them in my area so I see them all the time.

I'll go one step further and say they are still the ugliest thing I've ever seen, especially up close, and I have no idea why so many people buy them. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and kudos to Tesla for being able to sell something so freaking ugly

There’s PLENTY of space for that. I counted over 30.
Tesla website shows 0 inventory for CTs. I used my zip and the all deliverable filter
Yep, they are all over the place, so much so that the novelty has worn off, and people still want them. To me they are an eyesore, especially from the rear. But if people want them, God bless their souls
