Holy hell the frame snapped. That was actually shocking......rest of it I'm not surprised as that is Tesla build quality and not really real issues but that frame failure is insane.

Steel bends instead of shattering like that.

Air suspension impresses, that's a hell of a lot for a system to take. Body is awesome, really makes me want something armored.....that's just extremely cool

There are about 7 of them on the lots at Tesla.

I know they are all backordered but these didn't look reserved or sold, parked in a different spot etc.

I figured they were for sale.

I thought the video was pretty pointless because nobody other than a YouTuber is going to drive a Cyber Truck off a flatbed, over pipes and up embankments. Most won't even take them in the dust, or tow anything significant. Also the guy definitely didn't do his research, you have to not only have the VIN number registered to the app, but you need a credit card added to pay for charging. Tesla superchargers are easier than gas pumps... you back in, plug in and that's it. I've never spent more than 20 minutes at a charger.

All that said, it actually did better than I thought. It survived most of the stuff like dropping off of a truck bed and pile of pipes. The F-150 should have been disqualified at the start when it snapped it's drivetrain. It was game over for me at that point

If you’re familiar with Whistling diesel, he does crazy things like this. But the most disturbing and realistic part like striker mentioned was the frame ripping out while pulling the F150.

I wonder if Tesla is really going to attempt to repair the truck.

Issue is a driveshaft is 10 minutes and the ford made it the rest of the way......the frame failing is totaled. You can 1000% drop any other truck on it's hitch like that and it will not break, that's a REALLY concerning problem.

I thought that video was pretty cool but wow it pains me to see someone do that to a brand new truck even if it just for fun. Old POS truck I wouldn’t flinch but it hurts watching them tear up two brand new trucks.

Since Tesla locations are not dealerships, none of the cars there are 'for sale'. Those are waiting to be picked up by owners, or they could be in for service, but given how rare these still are in the grand scheme of things that would be highly unlikely.

that video is proof that there are so many idiots in the world today.

also he dropped the truck really hard on that spot a bit earlier, which probably made the damage.

Kyle had real, hard, off roading video in CT and it did pretty great:

CT will become #1 offroader in its weight class.

figured you guys would be salivating over anything (no matter how stupid) intended to make the cybertruck look bad to get clicks/views.

3.6m views in 14hrs... so the guy definitely knows stupid sensational stuff sells, but that guy looks and acts like a mad snarling hyena.

pointless is being very kind. only intended to get views, kinda of like a monster truck demolition derby or something.

The Tesla truck was already hideous (from an esthetic standpoint) to me before this video.

I remember top gear doing a similar segment featuring a Toyota pickup. It generated millions of views. After all the torture, the Toyota didn’t die I believe. Also this same YouTuber guy did a similar “test” featuring a G Wagon and a Toyota Hilux.

I agree the frame breaking is an eye opener, but the Cyber Truck was never intended for all the stuff he was doing. But this is a first gen vehicle, and it did most things, surprisingly better than the F-150, although I didn't go all the way to the end because I was losing too many brain cells 😂
