It would be if they just built a void there within the floor for the cables to run through

Indeed. One of these days I'll get my hands on a hybrid one to test drive and I'll be crawling under that thing at the dealership!

It makes me wonder where they ran the cable in my Highlander, which does have a flat floor.

For the Tundra, the new one definitely has a more pronounced center floor hump than in mine. Not a deal breaker, but I'd prefer it wasn't so big.

Here's mine for comparison:

The Highlander being unibody they likely consider within the floor structure to be not under the vehicle

This is the same body shared between the Hybrid and non-hybrid versions? That could be the reason, shared architecture, one for the Hybrid line and one for the TT only

theres a huge drivetrain hump in the rear floor. F150 and Ram have flat rear floors, Chevy has a very minimal hump. Big floor humps are quite bad for rear passenger leg comfort and moving around the back

Hybrid wiring. I don't see the big deal TBH

Looks extremely comfortable for a long trip from my POV. Way more space than either the second and the third row seating in my Sienna

I saw the truck in person, sat in it front and back, and this hump never even registered to me.

There's barely a hump in the non hybrid Tundra.

Yeah. I kind a like how Toyota took the time to finish the hump nicely. It’s very nicely done with the floor mats on each side side.

Mine is the older version, but I will tell you the back seat is huge, and much more so than it appears in pictures. The Tundra has become our go-to road trip vehicle. Both kids and an 80 lb dog are all comfortable back there.

Yeah, these are extreamly spacious and comfortable on the road. If I do end up getting the F-150 Lightning to replace my Sienna, it has roughly about the same space as the Tundra, except Zero hump
