2022 Toyota Tundra (780B)
and yeah, if calty did this then, uh, no, but no doubt it still had to pass japanese management approval.sadly true.

That isn't a very nice color y'all. If that truck were dipped in their special Army Green paint I think some of us would be singing a different tune.
I'm not crazy about that color or specific truck either.
Brett--- I agree, tow hooks are useful. My old GMC has them right near the grill area unhidden, I've used them before. I know my LX has them but they're not as easily accessible.

Not quite a road test. They show Michelin tire for the spare. ‘’
1455 lb is not great..but ok.
GVWR is 7230lbs

I like it. I'm surprised I like it, because I totlally see how people think its ugly, but I do like it. That color is called cement, its one of the most popular options on the Tacoma. Great color for a truck IMO
I like it. Toyota has clearly upped their effort compared to the last gen which they cut some corners on
Since this Tundra shares the same basic powertrain as the Lexus LS500, I wonder when the 400+ hp I-Force Max will make its way into RWD Lexus products. Hopefully in even higher state of tune. That would be interesting : a 400-500hp engine in a GS/IS sized RWD Lexus sedan as a mid-performance F-Sport Perf variant. And with the FC benefit of a light hybrid powertrain to boot. The instant electric torque low in the rev range will mitigate any remnant turbo lag while the midrange electric assist will help simulate the feel and smoothness of a typical old school Lexus V8.
I can already see it now. Toyota uses the Tundra as a test-bed for their I-Force engine so that it will be fully refined and bullet-proof when it's finally introduced 1-2 years later as a Lexus RWD sport-sedan engine, not as a full F car but as their top of the line mainstream model V8 equivalent/F-Sport Perf model.
IS/GS350 (2.4T),IS/GS450(3.4TT),IS/GS550 F-Sport Perf(I-Force Max 3.4TT), ISF/GSF(plug-in hybrid 3.4TT)
Note all almost all the proposed models above will be using already confirmed powertrains in Toyota's/Lexus' parts bin. So it's not some speculation based on vaporware.
I am already 1000% sure that the Lexus LS will be receiving some version of the 3.4LTT I-Force Max engine, almost certainly in a higher state of tune, perhaps as a 550hp LS600h with a larger hybrid battery. With/without plug-in capability.
(And yes, I know GS has been canned but I suspect either Lexus will re-position the next IS as a tweener sized car to replace both compact/mid-sized IS/GS RWD Lexus sedans or it will fully upsize to effectively take over the GS' market position. Or, fingers-crossed, Lexus will resurrect the GS nameplate.)
