2022 Lexus LX600 (4th gen)
Yup that is what I was saying, the last gen from 2016-2021 just didn’t look good to me. I like the new one much better but I also like the pre 2016 models as well.

very good, points out a lot of 'quirks and features'
most interesting point to me: he says the body on frame platform (also used in tundra and sequoia) is a negative compared to range rover, mercedes gls, bmw x7 in terms of ride comfort, etc.

I don't quite agree with Doug about the BOF aspect. It's not the body on frame, it's the solid rear axle that gives it a choppy ride. The Navigator and Escalade are both BOF but few have complaints with the ride quality because they both have independent rear suspension.
He nailed the rest of the review. This car is woefully outdated even though it just came out, and quite overpriced for what it is. The lack of front massage seats while the rear has them is a total "what were they thinking" moment.

nissan GTR engines are bench run for 45 minutes, 10 min at redline before delivery and the entire car is run on their racetrack. Break in is an old wives tale.

doug says the front row doesn't have a wireless phone charger... can that really be true on this brand new expensive suv?
edit: looks like the ultra luxury he tested has a wireless charger in the REAR seats but not in the front.
on the non-ultra lux trim levels there appears to be a wireless charging pad up front.

doug says the ttv6 is better in every way.
the base new lx does not have a 3rd row, and the ultra lux doesn't either.
many odd things about packages/trims though... the digital mirror is only available on the top ultra luxury trim for example.
Also, it would be a better vehicle if there wasn't a silly 3rd row seat....should just be made to have two row.s.

Lets see what some of the former owners have to say if the move on to this new LX. The performance is practically the same as the old V8 model. It has better fuel economy of course, but that is something buyers of these vehicles have never really worried about. It’s like $130K. At least Toyota left out the irritating start-stop

And people do care about fuel economy even at this level, it costs me almost $100 now to fill my S Class up, and gas prices are only going to go up. Its also a matter of range, the LX570 has poor range on the highway, and this will be much better.
The vehicle will feel much peppier and more responsive, its not about fuel economy. The LS500 feels MUCH quicker than the LS460 even if it actually isn't 0-60.
