The supply constraint at this point is largely show, yes.

‘It’s not. LX is in high demand around the world.

Have you seen any out in the wild? Have any of you?

At the end of the day Lexus is a business. After the smoke show (if there is one, as you posit) they want their money/profits just like every other business.

These need to be moved. They would be all over the place here if you could get them.

The demand is made to look higher than it is because of the constrained supply. Toyota could meet demand with supply and it wouldn't be an issue.

Oh yeah, I've seen a few. I hate them from the rear.

They way everyone used to. Maybe bump it up half a liter. Tinker with the compression and/or exhaust. Tinker with the software. Add god awful (but defeatable) start stop and cylinder deactivation assuming it's seamless and Toyota reliable.

My point is Toyota could have easily kept the V8 going and kept it power and mileage competitive with, say, the GM 6.2. But they didn't, V8 is gone. Uncle Sam won.

If you can’t afford the gas…then you can’t afford the vehicle lol. Start stop is the worse invention ever introduced to automobiles

Modern buyers are just too sophisticated for simplistic thinking like that. Even people who make and have a lot of money care about fuel economy to varying degrees.

This is what I mean when I say LXs are everywhere here:

Goes to show about white and certain cars. I strongly dislike the white on my gen (dealbreaker) while on the newer white one I find it beautiful.

I have only seen it twice. An Atomic Silver LX600 F-Sport and a regular model in White. Looks great in that color combo F-sport. Amazing what different bumpers and some black trim can do to this vehicle as I find the other trim levels to be horrendously subpar.
