Yes but they want to know the stats, are you kidding?

I'm dying to know if this new one beats the old "fast" V8 with the 6 speed auto. My guess is "yes" though like it says, the engine isn't pleasant once the tach gets up there. That sucks.

for a vehicle like this, if it's under 7s 0-60, it's fine imo. and i expect this lx600 will BLOW THE DOORS OFF the older LX's in every way performance-wise.

have to say i really enjoyed alex's review, besides the quirky interior center stack, i think it's a great vehicle and will do well.
i looked at trim packages on lexus' website and it's disappointing the typical lexus trade-offs are there and cost-cutting. for example, the side sunshades are not powered and you can't get them at all with the f-sport package.
even my santa fe has side manual sun shades.
the 3rd row seats are (still) for kids only, but better packaged than the last lx at least.
i sense this lx is far more refined on and off road. very quiet, very smooth, more efficient, faster, lighter, very 'what lexus should be'.

i think the rear looks GREAT - modern, classy.

Maybe, but the old LX I'm talking about is well under 7 seconds. 6.5.

But I do agree with you and I was actually thinking the other day, 7 seconds 0-60 is fast enough in general for a vehicle. In my opinion. Plenty to keep up, not fast enough for your kid to kill themself the first 60 seconds.

I do not like that AHC isn't standard, and I don't believe even available on the model they anticipate that will sell the most here.

Cadillac’s proclamation didn’t have the same fine print. They very plainly said every new intro from here forward will be EV. They don’t have to stop offering a 700hp Escalade, the next one will just be powered by batteries.

Lets be realistic- even if the goalposts move and they offer an ICE engine for the next gen Escalade, the 700hp supercharged V8 won’t be the one to survive in the 2030s.

Goalposts will move. Virtue signal is the order of the day these days, the big car companies are no different. Zero emissions United States by 2050 is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard of, just about literally. To be clear, I'm not condoning throwing trash in the street....just being realistic.

Tail gate is one of our family most used LX features, the kids were little we used it as a diaper change table; kids got older we used it as a bench eating pizzas or what not. Last camping trip we were on it was raining like crazy and it was a shelter / bench while we setup tent. Or we are at. the kids soccer games, just pull in reverse and sit on it.

Not happy its gone, now kids are getting older/taller the 3rd row is getting useless for me; lets see what the new sequoia looks like.

The more I look at it and the more I read about it, the more I love it.

The Car and Driver article was very positive. The Motor Trend article was a bit weird and sloppy. I don't get how they were complaining that there is no wireless charger for the driver yet their pictures clearly show one on the center console. The also said the AHC is hydraulic but I thought it was air on this one? Also had a typo in there...it's an "LX600" and not an "NX600"... At least they did mention the microsuede headliner.

Agree. I haven't even used the tailgate yet for anything fun bc of my surgery, but can't wait to. Our legs will hang out the back when we sleep in it, almost impossible to sleep in without tailgate.

can't believe the Digital Rearview Mirror is only available on the top ultra luxury model.

reviewer says his tundra has that though.

however, the lx has tow hooks.

MotorTrend can be trash sometimes.

By the sound of things this car will be a nice upgrade for existing LX/Land Cruiser owners.

The digital rear view mirror surprises me too. I'm mean, my parents' RAV4 has that.
