Unless you are going to go off-road, I disagree that a BOF suv will be as good for daily driving compared to GLS or X7 especially because those are available with more tech, luxury and much better powertrains. Thats also why they cost substantially more.

That is just pathetic, or some word that hasn't been invented yet it's so terrible. But there are so many of them here it's really nuts. The dealer is 1/5 the size of the Lexus dealer, I don't understand it.

its because they have never been willing to do what is neccessary to turn the heads of buyers at $100k+. They need special powertrains, etc and they have never been willing to do that.

Lexus absolutely can sell a $100k+ vehicle, and the hot SUV market is the place to prove they can...but this isn't going to be it.

I complely agree, I never said that a BOF vehicle would be good for daily driving compared with a GLS or X7. I said I would come back "for the right product", this isn't going to be that product.

Lx has never sold "well" since it came out. No one who usually wants to buy a suv like land cruiser or LX cross shops with a an X7 or a GLS etc.

And way more people want to buy vehicles like an X7 or GLS. Which is why it pisses us off Lexus refuses to offer a competitor in that segment.

Unfortunately I highly doubt it. TX sounds more likely, which could fill that segment if its on the GA-L architecture but I bet its more a FWD RX-L replacement, QX60/MDX competitor

i can agree some what, lexus has the rx checks all the boxes. A bigger rx would be nice.
I do like the x7 : gls : etc but replacing the lx with a x7 like its not good.

Lx/ land cruiser is a very very capable vehicle but you already know that.

Toyota and Lexus used to sell 30K Land Cruiser and LX470s. But that was long before GX as well as Sequoia and Tundra. LC used to once have cloth seats options as well as well.

Lexus can absolutely do both, they just won’t.

It amazes me they don’t want to compete in the higher end crossover space.

Makes no sense. It’s the fastest growing luxury segment.

It is a mistake to overlook that market, totally agree.

But I think Lexus as a brand is doing quite well right now, numbers etc. wise.

Very profitable I'm sure, but very little for enthusiasts.

I don’t agree. The cross over market is not as lucrative at the high as as you think. The body on frame stuff is more satisfying
