Default Which 330 would you pick?

So which would you choose, the next generation entry-level luxury sedan or SUV? I was in awe of the '04 RX when I test drove it around. Such a comfy and awesome vehicle all-around. If I get a chance in a few months or so, I'd like to test drive the '04 ES. Looks to be an improvement to a certain extent from the '02 and '03 models

Hey now, let's get back on track with the topic of Lexus vehicles, shall we? We all know that they're the talk of the town these days!

Well for one thing, there's currently no next-gen V8 Lexus model on the market (discounting the GX since that's all brand new). The ES and RX models have (for lack of a better word) "broken" history in the luxury car division with the sedan and SUV (reflect and compare their 1st-gen counterparts for a moment ). So there's something euphoric with the making and selling of the 2004 ES 330 and RX 330, considering the changes, additions and upgrades done to them. I'm very hopeful Lexus will come up with great concepts and ideas down the road from here

Wow, 14 votes for the RX and 0 for the ES. I'm in an ES loaner now and it is beautiful inside and out but so far from a performance car, I might as well pimp a RX.

At first, I did not like the RX but after driving it and checking it out I think it is AMAZING. Simply AMAZING.

I had the RX 330 as a loaner and after having it for like 4 days, I would think about buying one. It was very fun to drive.

I think I might personally take the ES330... I drove a brand spankin new 03 ES300 as a loaner and I found it to be very smooth, very quiet, very refined, a truly wonderful all round vehicle with almost as much punch as my SC400!

Seriously, I would like to have both tho

I have driven numerous ES300 and RX300 loaners. ES330 still doesn't have enough ponies to compete with the new TL, and I35. I would pick the RX330 because I don't have a SUV.

What do you mean they've broken history? Were they the first cheap lux car and first lux SUV, you mean?

Had to vote neither. Not a fan of mid-sized cars, and not a fan of SUVs. I expect the RX400h to do well, though, and hope it outsells all other SUVs just for the fact that it'll be a hybrid.

If Lexus came out with a compact luxury car that was more upscale and more performance than the IS, I'd be pretty interested.
