I'd have to go for the RX. I'm not an SUV guy but the RX is hardly a
typical SUV. Everytime I see it, I just have to steer and I love it more
and more. The only other SUV I can say that about is the Infiniti FX but
the RX is much more practical and usefull.

At first, I did not like the RX but after driving it and checking it out I think it is AMAZING. Simply AMAZING.
No, the ES is not a sport sedan...that's what the IS and GS are for. But if you are tired at the end of a long working day and you want a NICE, quiet, easy, stress-free home, for 35-40K there is simply no better car on the market,......period. Yes, big Buicks and Lincoln Town Cars in that price range are smooth and quiet, but they don't have Lexus build quality. Neither do the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis....and their suspensions have been stiffened up lately...even in the non-police versions.
For the first time today, I sat in both of them at my new Lexus dealership job (YES!), and I was completely blown away by the RX330. I love everything about it. Its stance, the interior, its advanced features such as rear back up camera and auto hatch, and although some aren't a fan of the shape, I think it looks darn good. Best in black, but that's the same for pretty much every car.

The main attractiveness of the RX330 is its cargo hatch area for hauling things and the All-Wheel-Drive for lousy weather...but the GS330 will also be offering AWD very soon. Keep in mind, also, that the RX will have a higher center of gravity...especially if you attach things to the roof rack.....which will affect handling. That will mean tipsiness, body roll, and some instability in the corners.....the penalty for the high center of gravity and the RX330's soft suspension. I'm not necessarily knocking this....I like a nice ride myself...but I just want to point out that if you want crisp handling....and potentially greater safety if you have to make a sudden swerve to avoid, say, a deer or a small child....then the RX is not for you.
