The Infiniti QX30 rear looks similar to this MB GLE.

Ha! It does. That is funny bc that car is based on the Mercedes GLA. The QX30 is also better looking than the GLA.

Yeah. It is based off the GLA. But just because its based off the car's platform, it usually doesn't mean the design or the same. Maybe Infiniti was influenced by the design?

But nowadays - cars are getting more and more globalized. While some cars remain traditionally German or Japanese, some cars are like merging together. I mean - the new Supra is pretty much a BMW Z. And a lot of newer electric and hybrid cars have Japanese hybrid/electric tech in them.

Maybe because today's cars are designed by computers based on Aerodynamics. More and more, they look similar.

That and pedestrian safety. Destroying the designers ability to make cars unique.

I would call it "assumed" pedestrian safety. Even with blind spot warning and all of these safety gizmos, people will still do stupid stuff. I would probably argue that people are more likely to do stupid stuff because of tech. I mean - I have seen people change lines w/o looking over their shoulder because they think blind spot warning "will tell them everything".
