Default 2005 Cadillac STS

I loved the CTS but I wished it was longer and wider... well here it is:

The entire car isn't too bad and has some potential but as others have said, the interior is fair at best.

Looks too much like a CTS and with the new Chrysler selling like crazy Cadillac is going to have a hard time with the new STS. The interior is okay to me.

Cadillac should've taken the original Seville's design from 1993 and evolve from there.

I don't get why it has to go back to the 80ish edgy look when in fact, most of its competitors out there are doing the contrary.

I can see this design on the more conservative DeVille and Fleetwood models, but a STS? Com'on.

I don't think it's that bad although they should have stayed further away from the CTS
styling. As far as the interior, it ain't no Lexus but looks like the best Cadillac interior
ever (aside from the XLR).

The CTS-V is the only way I can like that styling, and that means it need bigger wheels and a bodykit. Stock, the car looks cheap and like some sort of mutant computer reject.
The interior is a step back from the last STS IMO. The current STS has a great interior to me, it's really on par with the class.
Sigh, they still just slap one piece of wood on the steering wheel.
I do like the fact as ugly as these new Caddys are, they are distinctive. You know it's a Caddy.
Also the next STS will have the hardware, RWD instead of the current FWD. AWD optional. V-6 and V-8 engines with good power.
But alas, they will be for people that like buying American cars, not import killers.
When I think Cadillac and I think of 1SICK in retirement in Florida, wearing some short white pants with socks up to my butt, with giant sunglasses an a short sleeve shirt who's sleeves are just too damn short. I just can't get with the image.

Well, the interior.....yes and no. It looks pretty good on the surface. In fact, this is the interior I think the CTS should have gotten when it was introduced a couple of years ago, instead of that cheap dark-colored plastic everywhere. But on closer inspection ( I can tell just from the posted pictures here without even seeing it in person ) it still has some of that same old GM cheapness of fit-and-finish that has plagued their whole lineup for years. Though I'll reserve final judgement until I've seen it in person, it looks like Caddy still hasn't completely dealt with this problem.

The car you would have wanted in a FL retirement under those conditions would probably have been the SLS, not the STS. Though both cars had the electronically-adjustable struts, the SLS had a somewhat softer, "old-folks" suspension calibration, and less-firm tires. The SLS, at least as we knew it, though, is now history.

That's one thing about domestics. The exteriors are nice, but when it comes to interior-blehhh. They need to get rid of their interior designers. Escalades, CTS, STS, Yukons, Corvettes...need lots of work. They use way too much cheap and plastic parts. At least Navigators, the new Chryslers are finally getting better. Still does not match the interiors of imports like the Japanese.
