BMW fans listen both companies BMW and Toyota used the same platform to tune these two cars and Toyota nailed it now stop being upset just cause BMW did not nail the setup like toyota now yall want to keep highlighting "it a BMW" just because it actually is that good, please don't take this from Toyota they nailed the setup the car is a baby LFA. Nobody is talking about the Z4, now yall wish that BMW badge was actually in a supra
The important hardware- Engine, Transmission, ECU, Interior tech - its all BMW.
All the part #s are the same from 3series, X3 etc.
Toyota put together their design around the hardware and tuned the dynamics to their preferences.
LS and LC threads had ton of responses- how are they doing? Lol
LS and LC had mostly negative responses, because they are both half assed efforts by half assed company. The Supra should do well since most BMW coupes do very well (probably better than any other brand's coupes), and the legendary Supra name is an added bonus.
thanks for helping me see the error in my ways, I've seen a bunch of footage of stock c6 z06s getting 10.XX quarter mile times but my screen must've been buggy
You inferred stock. Drag radials are not stock. DA of -2000 ft and a very good driver. This is not a typical run
well that's just one video i chose out of others i've seen, would drag radials actually account for a full second difference? and either way all they do is allow the car to reach it's potential, also a car only needs to go 10.999 once and it's technically now a 10 second car forever however atypical it may be
can we just agree that the C6 Z06 is very fast lol... i'm starting to think maybe you lost to one in your viper haha
It's tradition for Toyota to lie about power output.
Definitely the case here if they were able to get those times.

Time will tell, anyone buying the actual Z4 wants a vert with a slight bump in power but considering the MKV is 700 lbs lighter and 15K cheaper I think it's the better bang for the buck unless again buyers really want a vert.
so as per the C/D article, the zupra is about 4 mph faster in the 1/4 mile and 3 seconds quicker from 0-150... i imagine basically all of that advantage comes from the first few seconds where the quick shifting 8 speed auto easily beats out a 6MT, and the bigger discrepancy between the times and the speeds shows that
therefore back to my original statement... it's pathetic that if the zupra with a fat driver pulls up on the highway next to a 26 year old supra with a skinny driver, the result will be basically neck and neck
Still not a fan but those are some seriously impressive numbers.
I saw an old Supra today, actually.. I couldn't tell if it was a turbo or not bc the car was black and dirty where the "turbo" badge is on the old ones.

not all turbo ones actually have the turbo badge, the wheels are different though
i'm not a fan of the no wing though, like seeing an evo with no wing... the car just looks kind of incomplete
