bland ? this is the closest a asian car design has gotten to the europeans.

it's almost a exact copy of the bmw 5 series and audi series. I guess if you can't beat them you join them.

Just take the best cues from the best designs and put them together as one. Mind as well. Sometimes u don't need to be original. U just need to know who to copy.

Now we've stooped so low to the point we're saying a Hyundai copied a Hyundai?? Com'on folks, give it a rest. There's only so many ways you can design a sedan, a truck, a crossover etc.. there's no copying anymore, just recylced design cues. Every car resembles another car from the same decade. Copying would be a blantent copy like the Chinese BYD S6 aka Lexus RX.

I wouldn't use the word copy since both are Hyundai cars.

Overall, I think this car is quite nice and beats the tar out of ANYTHING Acura or Lincoln is doing right now. Give em some credit. Seems to be a lot of reaching for the negative here.

Lol give them credit? For taking a half assed RWD platform (which is itself probably a reverse engineered god-knows-what) and placing a knock off BMW body and cliche details on it?

There is a reason Acura or Lincoln don't have a contender in this segment, because it's very difficult to do it properly and even they would never stoop to this level of theft.

Or maybe their designers are looking at this Genesis going "we could have gotten away with something like that? Damn that would make this so much easier..."

Same **** in electronics form:

Maybe this Genesis will force BMW to come up with a new body design, they've been rehashing the same basic look since 2006 anyway.

I meant to say copy and paste...

yes you are kinda right in way. But an automaker can make something new and original. take the GS and IS for example. there really isn't anything on the market that looks like them.

agreed, I read a lot of reviews that said their cars drive like ***.

there was even comparison test where the FWD Si was chosen over the GC because even being FWD it still handled better than the GC.

clearly this new genesis is a knock off of BMW. even the interior looks like it camed out of a 7 series.

I have driven both the Genesis sedan and the Sonata sedan and both were quite nice. The Sonata was a better driver than the last generation Camry or Accord. The Genesis was, I thought, overall a nicer car than the last generation GS. The Genesis was larger inside, had a much larger trunk, and was comperable to the GS in luxury inside. The fact that it offered a 400+ hp V8 would have closed the deal for me if I had been in the market for a car at the time.

Don't believe the reviewers! They are for the most part young and cannot afford a real luxury car on their salaries. They are also often hung up on the "German driving experience" which is drivel.

^if the Genesis sedan is that great than why aren't they selling? it has a better warrant and a much lower MSRP.

I owned a E60 and had a F10 and to me the current Genesis does not ride as good as them. but that's just me.

why are you keep bringing up samsung in car discussion?

you do know samsung is basically a giant global company, right? these giant companies are no longer operate like in the past. they get the best talents from all over the world.

regardless of what samsung has done in the past, their latest lineups look nothing like apple. they are dominating apple products in specs and there is nothing apple can do about it. apple has the design edge, but sales number prove consumers don't care. if the design was that important than HTC should dominate android market.

anyway my galaxy note 3 destroys my wife's iphone 5. i mean it's not even comparable. iphone is just a thing of a past. and they would have to follow Samsung from now on with bigger screen and better spec. if they don't, they will be in trouble.

IMO apple's luster has died since Job passed away. samsung train will not stop. too much money, and too much tech.

no comparison IMO.

You ask the guy why he brought up Samsung then slam the iPhone?

Didn't Apple just win a huge lawsuit against Samsung for stealing/copying?

I like my iPhone, I like my Samsung TVs... What's the issue? Lol

The Korean way LOL

When I was phone shopping initially I was set on getting the Samsung S4. But the phone was too flawed. Its main issues were stutter and lag, which was quite severe with the Galaxy S4. I didn't like the diaplay either as it had a poor colour palette and finally cheap plastic chassis is something that has never been pleasant.

Which is why I got the Sony Xperia Z1. Amazing performance, no stutter, no lag. 20.7 fully integrated MP camera and a extremly stylish and high quality chassis.

I'll be using this phone until the screen falls off LOL
