Default IS-F Cancelled!

According to USA Today, this year's IS-F is the end of the line. There will be no IS-F for the new version. The quoted reason was poor sales with less than 500 2013 models sold. The current model will remain on sale until the end of the year.

What does this mean for the rumored GS-F and high performance Lexus cars in general?

It is not gone for good, they just stop making it for a year or 2 until the next one comes out.

Dear USA today,

The is f actually sold very well and of course last year it sold slow as its been out since 2008. It won't be canceled, production will stop as there is a new model IS coming with a new IS F coming. I would say something smart but hungry and going to get lunch.

I believe there will be an IS F (sedan) and RC F (coupe). No mention of an IS C F (name seems too long)...

Yes, the F did reasonably well (at least at first). But its main problem, just like with most of the other competition in this class, is the ever-popular BMW 3-series. The 3-series, like it or not, has been an icon for years, though there are some signs that the Audi A4/A5/S4/S5 series is now picking up some of the 3-series popularity.

Enjoy your lunch.

Lol @ this reporting. We already knew that the ISF was special order and that the first year would be for the 2014 IS sedan only. The F is not dead, and will be back in a couple years

Not sure of this reported news...

But I can tell you the IS-F just recently surpassed 11,011 units Sold Globally, since debuting in 2008...
