Hey everyone, for months now i've been thinking of what new means of transportation i should get. I considered paying cash for a a beater to share the load of daily driving with my SC300, and even considered buying/leasing a new car. After going over my options, I still wasn't satisfied with the results and felt like something was missing. A certain "thrill" wouldn't have been fulfilled if i were to go with any one of those options. Well, to make a long story short...i pulled the trigger on buying a motorcycle today. Even though im NO stranger to riding, this is my first sport bike and im very happy with my purchase.
2002 Honda CBR 600 F4i. I'll post pics tomorrow after a wash
YES i know this is a car forum, but there has to be some members who ride bikes on here . If you are one, what kind of bike do you have? How long have you been in the scene? etc.
P.S.: I would like to be on Philip's level one day and get a Ducati , but i'll stick with my 600 f for now.
The CBRs are great bikes. Extremely confident; guaranteed hooligan shenanigans. Don't go too crazy.
By the way, I read your post about MotoGP. The tickets are NOT sold through the MotoGP website. You need to go to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's website for tickets. They have tickets available for everything: entry, parking, a parade lap on the course, etc.
Here is a link for the passes: MotoGP Laguna Seca passes. If you want to join us, I always set up a convoy...
P.S. Funny sig. And you still ended up with a Honda...

P.S.: Haha, i know right. How ironic mann, but i keep my Honda farrr away from the SC..

Congragulations. If you want, there are riding schools around that teach high-performance bike riding for newcomers. A friend of mine went through one and was very pleased with it; he felt it was well-worth the money.

No problem. We talk bikes here as well as cars.....although bikes are generally not my cup of tea. Phil, though, is one of our most noted bike riders....among others.

Hey, you never know. Someday you might be riding in Evel's footsteps.
^^Thank you very much MMARSHALL! Yeah, riding schools are great options for learning how to ride. I would go but im quite comfortable with my riding skills. I've been riding since i was 12yrs. old (starting with dirtbikes, then got my first street bike at 14) and now at 20, im pretty comfortable at where I am as far as having the fundamental skills of riding down pact. I thought riding a street bike would be different then my dirtbikes i've had or the Honda VLX 600 shadow i have but after taking her for a ride for the first time today, it isn't. Sure it may be faster, but pretty much the same skills applies.
- Yeah, i noticed there are quite a few bike discussions on here which is great!
- Man that would be awesome, riding in his foot steps. Like you said, you never know.
