Lexus SC300/400 from 92 to I think 1994. They do not have fog lights as those are cornering lights that turn on with the blinkers.

Good job Trexus.
1. What was the codename for the LS 400 program?
2. Who is the man credited for being the father of Lexus/LS 400?

Not bad! Ichiru Suzuki, and the F1 program..
Okay, I need to make things tougher.

1. Can someone explain to me the early recall situation in Lexus history that was applauded by the press and public? What happened and what did Lexus do?
2. Why was the LX 450 built?

They recalled all the cars washed them and left roses for some customers due to cruise control and third brake light problem. The LX450 was built to compete with the range rover they used the landcruiser because a small percentage of lexus owners already had land cruisers.

1. Correct, even though only I think 20 LSs reported problems, Lexus recalled them all voluntarily and gave customers all sorts of perks for the trouble. This was (and still) unheard of at the time. What could have been a diasaster, turned into a huge positive.
2. Yes, Lexus research indicated people wanted luxury SUVs (SUVs were gaining ground) thus the LX 450 (Which became a best seller immediatly).

Okay

1. What Lexus did Automoble magazine describe as having "the finest cockpit in the world"?
2. In Car and Driver in 1997/1998, the SC 300 in its final major test went against?
A. What competitors
B.. FInished in what place

Your good if you get those

Here's a good one... my question is....

-What were were the original two V8 engines developed for the LS? In other words, what displacement (liters) were the two engines that came before the 4.0 liter V8 was decided upon in 1987?

The only Toyota V8's offered prior to the 1UZ-FE was a from the 1960s. 2.6L V8 for the Crown, and 4 other V8s, a 3.0L, 3.4, and two 4.0 (which are not the 1UZ) a for the Century..in Japan.
