The first car was of course an ls400 ill guess and say it was white on silver two-tone as for the one millionth that was an RX not sure of the color of it.

Who advised the chief engineer about the 2001 IS300 interior detail design (metal pedals, round shift ****, etc.)?

His thirteen year old son. And the chief engineers name is nobuaki katayama. As for the 1st LS i give up on it.

I heard his son was 17 years old at the time, but you're right, it was his very own son. Pretty cool I think.
As for the LS, I'm gonna take a stab in the dark. Was it that Burgundy color?

I was thinking the monotone burgundy too so i guess that was bill gates lexus.

The first production Lexus ever to hit American soil is a Diamond White Pearl ES250 w/Tan interior housed at the Toyota Vintage Museum here in SoCal. Shortly after, the LS400 came off the ship. That too is also stored at the Toyota Vintage Museum.

If your talking about the project it would be Nov 1983 the year i was born or the name lexus was sometime in 1987.
