obviously not true but funny, i think the pacifica is a great looking vehicle.

Vehicles are a fashion statement, how else do you explain the popularity of Gwagon or Jeep Wrangler which are terrible to drive.
very true, and very glad i don’t care about fashion but i do care about comfort so those two vehicles are off my list.

I still remember the movie Get Shorty when Travolta’s character tried to make minivans cool. GM must of paid a lot for that advertising![/QUOTE]

The CTS-V wagon is one of the coolest cars ever made. Extremely rare sighting these days. I can't remember the last time I saw one.

So, not really true of wagons. Wagons have gotten very “cool”. Plenty of people that want to be seen in a RS6 Avant or an E53 or M5 Wagon.

Many people also don’t care what people think of what they drive, my wife couldn’t possibly care less.

I do think the Pacifica is about as good as a minivan can look. Doesn’t hurt me to be seen in it. Would I drive it as my primary vehicle? No. You would also be amazed by how many comments the Pacifica gets. I sure am amazed. I got the oil changed at a quick lube once and all the guys came over to look at it (true story!). Everybody who rides in it loves it, my wife has commented that now that she’s driving it showing houses clients comment on it and love it. It’s a cool
color and color combo…but I’m very surprised.

The interior of your Pacifica is really nice. That orangey/brownish leather looks great.

I've driven my brothers Odyssey a few times and I liked it more than I thought. He's got 3 little ones and it's perfect.

I've never seen any of my vehicles as a fashion statement but maybe some people do and that's ok.

I have owned vehicles that I liked because of style, brand following, etc and others because of utility.

Only a poser would drive a vehicle for a fashion statement, IMO. J/k. Lol

Well that was my whole point. People choosing often mediocre SUVs over a van that probably better suited their actual needs primarily because of what they thought other people would think about them. It's little short of asinine.

Landed in the Motor City this weekend. My 12 year old chose the Pacifica to drive!

LOL!, so they are concerned about fashion or image and yet they buy generic CUVs? That's richly ironic

For me I don't care what other people think, I care about what I think. I just like the looks and feel of an SUV vs a van.

Never cared what other people thought. Always bought what we wanted and what we felt was best for our family.

Absolutely loved our SUV as it was PERFECT for our family and family needs. Never cared for the look of a van.

Always picked the color combo we wanted as well.

Now that we’re empty nesters, also downsized and got a smaller SUV — far from being generic or mediocre to us.

As long as we like it is all that matters as we’re the ones that have to look at it and live with it every day.

We are happy campers with our choices

I really think one of the reasons I like our current Pacifica more than the other vans is the full console and wide armrest which makes it feel less like a van

I don't mind wagons if it's the right wagon (long time Subie OB fan). To the original question, next vehicle's going to be a Crosstrek Hybrid as a commuter, likely in six or eight weeks. The one after that will be an RX prem+ likely in Feb/Mar of '27 when a current lease is up.

(according to dictionary) in your view it's extremely stupid or foolish to buy an suv over a minivan if the minivan might serve their functional needs more? i'd say your opinion is also "little short of asinine" then. why not just be ok with people choosing what makes them happy?

i'm sure your reasons for having the lightning and defender and whatever else are completely rational.
