When my T-Rex finally kicks the bucket, it’ll most likely be one of these 3 - Honda Ridgeline (most sensible choice), x3 m40i (because, well… B58) or MB E400/E450 wagon (what can I say - I like my hearses, lol).
Have to replace the Pacifica late this summer, have a wide variety of things we are considering. Just buying it out and keeping it is one, buyout is $30k. GLS450, X7, TX550h+, Rivian R1S, Lucid Gravity all are potentials...
pacifica buyout seems the most sensible option but when has that stopped us?

I'm probably going to keep my 5-year-old Encore GX a little while longer (I renewed its OnStar a couple of days ago), but its replacement will almost certainly be another GX of the current-generation, or, slightly less-likely, a Chevy Trailblazer....I have very little personal interest in anything else. I'd say a virtually 100% chance on a GX, except that the Chevy/Buick/GMC franchise I deal with now only handles Chevy and GMC, and I like their sales-policies and service department.....people that I have dealt with for almost 15 years now. The Trailblazer disappoints somewhat, with more road-noise than the GX, and the lack of a 360-view camera option which I find important, but otherwise is pretty much the same vehicle mechanically...with a couple of inches of added length.
If you prefer a GX you should go buy a GX. Don't settle for a car that you don't want as much because you feel like you owe the dealership your business. You have to drive it everyday, the salesman will stop thinking about the transaction after a day.

Not really. He sees me fairly often at the dealership since I use it for basic maintenance. He sends me a birthday card every year, and used to get free tickets to the DC Auto show for me until my legs got too weak to stand for hours.
I could live with a Trailblazer (and the current Trailblazer actually had a better dash-design), but, yes, the Encore GX does have better road-manners. That's a choice I'm going to have to make sometime in the next couple of years....but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
I remember when you had a Fusion. That was an excellent sedan for the price......both the first and second-generation versions. It's too bad Ford dropped it....and Lincoln did a nice version of it, too, particularly the 2Gen MKZ.
Most likely a 2019-2022 RX-L, either the 350 or 450h variant. Hard to find in the trim level (triple beam headlamps and HUD, but no F sport-gross) and color combos I want, so will likely be a year long search.

Highly doubt a Kia is even a though. He would buy a Prius before that happens 😆

+1 on 450H. So much more smooth than the 350. Whenever we had a loaner 350, didn’t like how the 350 would upshift so quick you’re doing 40-50mph in 8th gear lugging the engine around trying to save fuel.
