Keyes don't die. Your phone does die once per day. But I might be the wrong person to talk about this, I don't even have bank apps on my phone nor a lock.

Keys absolutely do die. Your phone also retains enough charge even when the battery is dead to still work as an NFC key, they are designed that way for that reason.
The day when all I have to carry is my phone will be a great day IMO.
Lexus gave me a 25 NX350h as a loaner a few weeks ago. Had never driven a car with HUD. It was fine and very visible to see, to the point it was somewhat distracting, but not if you had polarized sunglasses on. I’m assuming that’s the case with all cars, but it’s pretty stupid considering how many people wear polarized sunglasses.
My GS has a HUD, and I absolutely love it, though it does take some getting used to. But yes, I did have to buy non-polarized sunglasses to keep in the car as polarized lenses flush it out.

hud conflict with polarized lenses varies by car. on my hyundai it does conflict. on my lexus lc, it doesn’t.

yeah I personally have no interest in a HUD.

I have one in my pocket right now. Fortunately I haven’t had to use it, because Lexus will alert you for weeks of low key battery before it fails. But l like having it just in case.

I mean a car that has regular keys and not keyless entry and start.
MBs don't lock when you walk away, you have to press the handle to lock.
Dang it hasn't been that long and I forgot already. I thought ours did that. But according google, you're right. You need to touch to lock.

I may be biased but I think BMW has the best solution for this. They have fob, phone key and credit card key. All for free. God forbid... your fob/phone died/lost, you can still use credit card key. In case you also lost this key, your spouse can send you a "key" via text to any phone and you can still get the car going and go home. I find the CC key very useful when we go somewhere wet. The other guy also has all these features.

Agree, you should get all 3 and then decide. For me the CC would stay in the car for valets etc, the keys would stay at home and I would use phone as key.
