No heating elements on mine. Winter mode also allows you to lift the wipers up off the windshield without scratching the hood.

That said, there are several settings and all I want to see is the speed I'm going, that's literally it. I wouldn't want one if it was all or nothing, info wise.
I probably would like it if I had one, I've just never had a car with one.

When you're in a wrong lane (to get on next freeway), it also signals you to move to the right turn. It can display either OEM navi or iMap. Some say gMap is displayed to but it's random. I must say though some can look annoying. BMW's latest Sports mode looks very odd but they allow you to customize which kind of makes up for the ugly design.
Like AJT said its probably just because I have never had a car with one.

I feel like I’m in Miami Vice or something bc that’s how I cruise most of the time lol. Are y’all saying this works in fog better?
Yep! The regular lights reflect back in the fog, the fog lights shine underneath it.

Also, in all the cars I’ve had I feel that BMW has the best implementation of auto HVAC.
I have found a lot of people dont use their auto HVAC. I get in their cars and they are still adjusting everything manually.

My wife does the same thing at home.
Always adjusting the AC thermostat. Lol

When I had my GS, I so wanted to push the wipers down when I saw a car with their wipers in winter mode (we don't have snow/ice here). Lol. Many actually don't know about this thing as I remember.

Was that you that complained about BMW HVAC and I said just hit Auto or someone else elsewhere that I said this? Yes, BMW has the best auto HVAC except when it sometimes gives you the stinky smell at the beginning of your drive. My wife insisted that we had a dead rat in the car the other day and I told her to just give it 5 minutes. That was the longest five minutes of my life. Lol

looking forward to the day most climate 'controls' are removed. they're just confusing and horrible.
why do manual 'fans' insist on setting temp to 'Lo' or '60' or whatever when they get in the car on a hot day? it will NOT get to a reasonable temp any faster, LOL

tesla has oscillating fans option. can do this because there's no physical controls to move the vent direction, it's all motorized in response to screen controls, so the motors are there to do oscillate.

They better not!
Or, I will complain constantly every day. Haha

I want and need my fan speeds and temp buttons. 😁

Lol we had a Mazda 626 which had it, but they weren't "smart". They would just oscillate back and forth.

LS430s are really really neat, I would guess there are hundreds or even thousands of combinations of things they can do. It's just another special thing about the car, and another reason I'll never dump it. The oscillating vents are "smart".

Here's an example. Lol don't mind my mother talking in the background...

As you can see, my vent is pointed at me and is stationary. Her vent is very slightly oscillating (try to catch it), the sun sensors picked it up. The car was already comfortable so it knows not to have to swing all the way on each side. Like I said there are tons of ways it works. If 2 passengers got in the car on a hot day the vents will point directly at you, and then oscillate oppositely for driver and passenger. It's really a neat feature, and more proof Lexus absolutely sweat the details in their day.

I'm spoiled by those swinging vents. LS430 has a powerful HVAC.

I'm quite certain precisely zero cars sold in America have anything like that.

Like I said, it's one of the things that makes the LS430 special.
