General Car Conversation 2025 - Part 2
They don’t all have to be the same. 7 Series was never an M3 but it was just sharper and sportier than an S Class. The S Class is the better handling sedan now IMO.
I also agree with that assessment. Very odd how the usual order of the last 25 years swapped around lol!
I hope this is not prevalent where you are but it happens frequently here in SoCal where traffic is stopped due to congestion and last car in line comes to a stop a full car length behind the car just in front and in doing so blocks access to a turn lane, an onramp, etc, which is very maddening because it is completely unnecessary and if it's just carelessness or incompetence, the driver is still a dick anyway.
Wednesday I was trying to head north on a freeway (couldn't simply go around right on the shoulder because a vehicle was there) and the backup was for the same freeway south which also is a right lane entrance point over the roadway itself, which is commonly backed up at that time of day. I beeped to try to get the jackass to pull forward (1/2 of the full car length would have allowed more than enough room. Nothing. Tut tut tut tut. Home Slice put is in reverse and backs to within a foot of my front bumper and I don't understand how this makes me the bad guy, but that seemed to be the decision. I laid into the horn and stayed in it. Traffic in front of him started moving and he didn't budge, so I backed up a foot or so to go around the left and just go up Birch north one exit instead. ******** moved to block that too, but it was a bluff and as he started moving, I went around him, got on the ramp I want, laughed, and this cockshiner started going ballistic at me, so I showed him the bird and went on my way. This is why the poor sap behind gets road rage and I had it as a young. I felt that all too familiar feeling overwhelm me. This is why there are no weapons in the car.

I have yet to see the M5 wagon in the wild.
I have a RS6 Avant and it is wonderful. My wife gives me grief (in jest) about it, but she now understands it better. We were driving home 3 hours after a long day. It was around 10 pm outside of Orlando. Traffic had opened up as we distanced ourselves from the Mouse House. I was cruising effortlessly at 90 (yes, I was behaving) and she looked over and commented how smooth this car was and she had no idea we were traveling this fast. That's why I own a vehicle like this.

The RS6 to me is the best looking of the three competitors and would be my choice even if the performance is behind the M5 and E63. We looked at a black one with the upgraded black wheels and it looked great. I thought the interior looked great as well.
