I did buy an Active Autowerke downpipe with a high flow cat. It's important to me that I am able to pass smog without having to swap pipes every year to do it, as well as not wanting to have the catless smell(lady friends tend to not enjoy that much).

I have the same downpipe!!
It was a good time. I decided against renting a trailer because I'd have had to go cut up some 2x8's for shims due to clearance. Add to that the fact that my dad speaks Spanish and I don't, it was pretty essential to take him to deal with the mechanic. 600 miles of driving in one day all said and done. There's a station about 1/3 of the way there where gas is only 2.25 so I filled up there going out and back even though I could have easily done the trip on a single fill-up. I must be the anti - @BayeauxLex
