DWS06's are among the best performance all-seasons you can get--right up there with PS4AS in my opinion. They're a touch on the soft side, so will flat-spot a bit if you don't drive for 4+ consecutive days. But they'll round back out within a few miles.
The flat spot issue effects all the really grippy tires, my AS3+s seem to be more resistant to it than my PSAS4s with the later taking about a 5 days to feel "off" for the first few miles. I don't start really driving till 160* oil temp though so it's never been a problem plus I can barely feel it in the A8s, the spring cars are more noticeable.
I have 4 cars with PSAS4s and one with AS3+s, the AS3+ is by far quieter and consistent across all surfaces vs the PSAS.
The PSAS have a lot of tone changes on different pavement types and will tramline grooves and certain impacts are also loud, the trade off is they are far more direct IMO and at the limit are more progressive and predicable for me.
To be clear both perform extremely well and the AS3s have a clear edge in comfort/noise so if you have an inherently louder car the PSASs might be a second choice. If you have something quiet it's not too much of an issue but there is a difference
So far the PSASs are all on track to exceed listed mileage provided I don't fry the shoulders on them from aggressive cornering. Both tires have scrub indicators to check if you are under/over inflated at max turning forces/tire deformation so after the first 100 or so miles do so some sweepers and aggressive 90* turn in till breakaway and see if you need more or less air. My Lexus cars all needed air reductions, Audis were near dead on for the TVD cars and the normal ones needed a tad removed from the rear.
EDIT: thinking about more you actually may be annoyed more by louder tires on a quieter car, absolute DB will be lower but the changes in tone will be more noticeable vs a car that is just loud all the time.

what about it does she hate? sitting lower? getting in and out? not being able to put stuff in it as easily?
i will never go back to sedan but then sedans are rapidly evolving into cuv/suvs.
Its the height, getting in and out etc.

But look at what great friends I have. They took my SL and had the bumpers fixed bc they knew I was about to and hated having a janky-bumpered-car. The car is still a looker even taken apart lol.
Welcome back! Thats amazing. When stuff like this happens is when you find out who your real friends are.
They didn't stop there, they're taking it to MB (down the street) to get it aligned because they had the body shop put new tires on it as well. The tires were so bad one was leaking lol.
Now, my tire snobs I need your input. First let me say IDGAF about the greatest and most expensive currently... The car needs tires, Conti is a good brand, and it was like $1200 all in mount/protections/balance, etc.
That said what do you think of these? My guy at the MB collision place loves his and he has that E550 with 382HP so they must be decent enough. He's definitely an MB enthusiast.
I had the Continental ExtremeContacts on my GS. Excellent tires in every category except noise. May not matter on a Mercedes SL. But on a Lexus these tires get loud. Mine lasted 29,000 miles before getting to 4/32.
I have Yokohama Advan Sports now and they are way quieter than the Contis. Steering also feels lighter. Ride quality feels the same. I’ve about 12,000 miles on them and they still look new.
I did have to replace one of them because it developed a bubble. I never had any issues with the Continentals, despite hitting a few bad potholes.
Great news guys!!! I wasn't expecting such good reviews on these tires. I just asked my collision guy what a decent set were bc I have more problems at the moment than making sure I have a set of top line Michelins on a car barely driven.
But oh she's almost ready to be picked up. It'll be little minute before I drive again but it'll be nice just to look at the SL and know it's there in the garage, perfect.
My buddy had it today and drove it in the rain, he had to admit the mono wiper is just next level cool and that the thing is a tank in the rain (it is...4200lbs and it rains a lot in many, many parts of Europe).
It’s funny, some have experiences where the Conti’s are loud and others like me where it is quiet. I have had them on multiple cars and never experienced them being loud and currently have them on my Cayenne. I also have Michelin PSAS4 on one of my cars and had them on my last car and those are quiet as well except the first thousand miles they are pretty loud and then quiet down. I also feel the DWS06’s are better in the snow than the PS AS4’s. Both are really good all seasons and you can’t go wrong with either.
I never cared about tires but they have to be a name brand or I don't want them 🐢 🏃➡️
Tires make a huge difference in how a car rides and drives. You can really improve your car with a good set of tires, or mess it up with the wrong set...
I think it’s good that you got all seasons instead of summer tires. The car is going to be much safer to drive in the cold. Under 40 degrees summer tires loose their gripping power.

Yes I had them before in my old Acura and at about freezing they would turn utterly useless. They'd make a popping sound when pulling out like the CV boots were gone lol.
All seasons were a good choice here as well, I agree.
