I mean, if he legit cheated... Yes they sent a lot of cops but it's not like the cops were bad, they weren't even unpleasant (for police arresting someone).

What is interesting is TN is like 48/50 for total tax burden, taxes are *nothing* in this state. No income tax. Register your car right, don't cheat Uncle Sam bc he'll come for you as we see right here.

He lives in a tax-free haven compared to some other states.

apart from AI narration this video is well illustrated and does a cool job explaining quattro vs. xdrive vs. 4matic

I hate the mess and the slop…it’s worse nowadays because they pretreat the damn roads before any threat of winter weather.

Beading looks great, it also kept the car nice and clean…

I agree it can get annoying. If possible, look at the color and texture of the brine-strips on the road before you drive on it. if they are dark or gray, of if they shine and reflect, that means they are still wet, and your tires can kick up some salt/water on the underbody. If they look white, light gray, powdery, or opaque, that means they have dried out, and you can drive on them with a much lower risk of corrosion.

Oh I do, but when you're driving down the road you kind of have no choice but to drive on whatever happens to be on the road. Not worried about corrosion I just hate having nasty salt all over my cars.

It's somewhat accurate for Audi but ultra is only used in the lower end "real" Audis with basic 2.0 drivelines and their ilk thus they should be thought of as Haldex+ not Quattro. It also starts in AWD mode and only selectively goes to 2wd under steady state conditions and will overheat when pushed on road and will overheat VERY quickly on loose surfaces. It is also incapable of holding major power

R8 system also doesn't work how they described, it's a low bais system that always sends 10% not a reverse haldex.

They also failed to mention the crown drive center diff, and sport TVD system the top end real Quattro cars use. The crown drive allows a much more effective torque bias ratio and zero wheel torque resistance power transfer front to back unlike a basic normal torsen.

Normal torsen has a non-0 TBR that requires some level of resistance at the slipping wheel to allow the transfer to happen, the crown drive avoids this by augmenting the torsen with a permanent preloading clutch pack like a cluched LSD so you never have that zero torque situation that renders a torsen center into an open diff. (Like on any and all Toyotas with torsen, not a single one will move with zero traction at one axle or even just one wheel)

If you want to see how the TVD works refer to the Mercedes section about the AMG 45 "4matic+" and its twin rear clutch pack system. Real Audis get that on the rear diffs on top of the crown drive center diff so they can funnel up to 85% of all power to a single outside wheel in turns. Mercedes is limited to 50% as that's all it can transfer rearward in the first place.

BMW description is almost totally accurate, some oddball cars are different but they fundamentally are all Haldex/actuated clutch type. They grenade regularly on heavier cars or SUVs like the X7 and are the system I work on/replace dead bits the most

Mercedes is almost totally accurate, AMGs get the active control center wet clutch system like the BMW setup with an Audi type TVD. The system is very susceptible to overheating or killing the center wet clutch pack, normal non-AMGs like the Sclass use an Audi style center torsen diff so the risk of overheat doesn't apply. You do not have the ability to switch anything past the static default torque split or TBR however. The AMG system in my direct experience doesn't have too many issues if you adhere to maintenance and aren't pushing idiotic power, it's also usually fast enough you can't catch it out of position. AKA archetypical Mercedes, it will work perfectly fine if you aren't a moron.

Older SUVs use a totally normal transfer case with low range and complete reliance on brake type traction control, Gs get lockers on all diffs. Newer SUVs use Haldex for cheap stuff and the normal torsen system for mass market with AMGs getting the fancy center and rear diffs

Congrats on forcing me to watch that. I was avoiding it in my recommended feed because I knew it would both be wrong/lacking, I already knew more, and it's AI slop lol!

I'll take a wild guess that this is just the beginning of the young man's legal woes. Not too many folks keep a large bag filled with $100 bills, nor surround themselves with people with such a low-IQ as to flash it to a camera then post on the Net. Wannabes...

Thats the prop money from the first Bugatti video way back, it's not real and it was a bit lol! I bet you that when they filmed them getting the bag Cody was already out and they were simply capitalizing on the opportunity to make content

I hope to have a film crew around when I'm arrested.

My neighbor has Montana plates on his 911. I'll ask him if he's expecting to get arrested. lol

haha no problem i was literally waiting for you to add notes on that as i was sure there were minor specifics being left out

when it comes to AWD systems i put audi in a category of its own since they just do things so uniquely... and the OG quattro was such a badass capable rally car that dominated for years (while making awesome 5-cyl sounds!)

Well you got me good then haha!

Audi are just the insane scientists in the back rooms that for some reason just HAVE to make a system for every sub model they have if a pre-existing setup doesn't perfectly match the mission goal. Instead of Haldex for just everything they invented the stupid mid tier of ultra lol! Same thing with the TVD and crown drive diff, they just simply HAD to make the true Quattro systems have the absolute best level of capability possible and cost be damned

I have two cars with the full on real Quattro plus Crown Drive and rear TVD, one car with real Quattro at 40/60 default split and default TBR, and 4 with straight old school 50/50 split and default TBR OG Quattro setups.

I also (unfortunately) own one Haldex in the XC90 and a trio of trucks with one being a 2/4hi/lo and then the last two being 2/awd/4hi/4lo. My dad has an L405 RR with the BMW style adaptive/partial lockup transfer case and I pray every oil change it doesn't have any error codes

Just an example of good a job Katiba does with hydrophobics. These were driven all day in the rain today on roads that were pretreated with brine solution, amazing how clean they both stayed.

That's like a true ceramic coat level of performance, nice!

Guess that means it's a perfect option for quick and effective on cars that I don't go full out on, it would be great to have all the cars hard coated but it takes just so much time and 11x$500 for coatings adds up too fast. I only did full ceramic on the W12s and 4.0

Yeah I have never used a spray product with any kind of performance like that before
