Went on another road trip in the Cayenne to Va Tech, 10 hours of driving in a day and the Cayenne was great. Decent gas mileage again and a little better than last time likely because I was in normal mode vs sport which I usually drive in. Went to my first Buc-ee’s off I-81. It was packed and yes I had to use the bathroom just because I had to see it first hand, it was pretty impressive and clean. Although the place was packed they had plenty of registers open so not much of a wait to checkout. Unfortunately not top tier gas so I went across the street to Shell to fill up and 93 octane was only around $3.50.
You saw Buc-ees can turn into a 30 min stop with all the stuff in there. Never forget the day I stopped for gas and after I finished pumping I walked inside to see my wife and kids pushing a 🛒 around.
Edit: I don’t mind getting gas from there because on a roadtrip I’m going to burn right through it.

The gas not being TT is the one thing that annoys me, I usually get gas elsewhere or if I plan for it bring the correct amount of fuel additive bottles for the trip and drop them in before the fill.
Your first Buc-ees experience! Did you have Brisket?
No I had already eaten and wasn’t hungry but I did look and wished I was hungry. I did grab a 5 pack of chocolate chip cookies though and they were really good.
does anyone really believe buc-ee’s gas is ‘inferior’ with how much they have on the line?
I used to think that and the more research I did I wasn’t able to debunk it. If I Don’t care about the car and am leasing and it requires premium I just get cheap 93 at Royal Farms but for the cars I care about like my GTR or Cayenne I try and only get top tier. Maybe it is all marketing and no additives are included, who knows.
Top Tier gas is not a joke at all. Is Buc-ee’s gas “inferior”, not necessarily but you don’t know for sure because it isn’t held to that same standard. Would I run it in a pinch? Sure. Would I run it when I can go across the street to a Shell station? No.

Yeah their brisket is really good, up there with real Texas brisket good!
Got my wheel repaired last week, looks pretty good and 99.9 percent of people wouldn’t notice but you can see where they repaired/repainted it since it was painted metallic vs brushed and you can only really see the difference in the sun if you really look at it. The color match is very good.
I notice it and I am not sure if I want to order a new wheel. I keep telling myself it’s just my daily driver and to let it go.
Started/drove the jeep for the first time in like 2.5 months since I need to push a car around and pickup some sound deadening panels. Aka truck jobs, I'm reminded both why I kept it so long and why I don't drive it anymore....
Plus sides, it works every time and I don't have to care too much.

My tuner and most tuners can tell difference in quality of gas. In our boosted vehicles we use top tier quality gas but in the Prius, not that important to me.
