Costs an insane amount but you can truely get a car exactly how you want it, extreme examples of such custom options are usually euro only unless you get into the ultimate cars like Bentley/Rolls/Porsche.
If you are overseas you also get access to one off/stupid custom stuff for some brands, the one that angers me we didn't get in particular is the D5 A8 W12. They only make them by request for a short list of customers even over there, I'm being forced to carry out the factory engine up fitting myself to complete my collection. It's not particularly hard as it's essentially just putting a Bentley 3rd Gen W12 into a D5 but the problem is getting the correct subframe and trans adaptor.

German brands offer ability to customize to a high extent on their upper range or top performance cars, stuff like custom paint, various leather and interior material choices, add ons and extras etc......

It's the ability--for an extra fee--of requesting to have your car painted in a color not offered on that model. There are 3 "levels" of Individual:
- Priority Individual: A select list of pre-approved colors from the Individual palette, which cost more and delay your build slightly, but will be accepted as part of the normal ordering process--your specific car does not require factory approval. For the 2025 M3 (as an example), these colors are Aventurin Red Metallic, Dravit Grey Metallic, Tanzanite Blue II Metallic, Frozen Brilliant White Metallic, and Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic
- Individual: You can request any color BMW has ever painted and still has the capability to paint. Those options are available in the BMW Individualizer. The factory must approve your request before your order will be accepted, there's a significant fee ($4,500 for my M3) and it delays your build by 4-10 weeks.
- Individual "research": Not sure what the actual word should be in quotes, but this is similar to Porsche's PTS (Paint to Sample) program. You can request ANY color, pay a non-refundable research fee (I think it's around $5,000), and they will go through the development process to see if they can achieve your desired result. If approved, you then pay the Individual fee (it might be slightly reduced, not sure), and they paint your car in that color. They usually will then add that color to the Individual palette so others can order it.

I don’t think there’s been many cases of LX 600 engine failures has there? Seems like it hit the Tundra the hardest. Is it because the LX is assembled in Japan?
I admit I looked at a 3rd gen Tundra last night because I saw a dealer offering 0%. Then came to my senses and thought WWAJTD and figure I’ll hang on to my trusty V8 for a little bit longer.
