Now that I think about it, I believe the leather/ventilated combination was only available in black leather. Kind of strange.

FWIW, it was disabled on my 2023 when I took delivery, and hasn't been enabled since. Not a 5-series obviously.

aside: i've heard the terms 'ventilated' and 'cooled' seats but i believe implementations vary... maybe some just push air from within the car out the seats, but i know my lc500's seat cooling function could freeze hemorrhoids into non-existence. can you say, shrinkage?

I just sold my LS460 to Toyota dealer. LMAO.

Now I can concentrate on getting a replacement.
The ventilated seat is a big deal for me. The LS460 and LC500 ventilated seat worked great. The RX also worked sufficiently to keep my back dry.
I really don’t want to get something that’s missing a feature that I really care for. I made the mistake of getting the GSF knowing that the heated steering wheel is missing(on a $90k vehicle!). This might seem small but I did not feel wholesome with it. So traded it in for LC within 2 years. I don’t want to do that again with missing ventilated seats.

I don’t even think the M340 had an option for ventilated seats, at least when I had mine it wasn’t. I don’t really care for ventilated seats myself and don’t use it often but I always spec it when ordering/buying a car for the few times I use it. Heated seats and steering wheel are a must have. Heated arm rests are nice, really nice actually, but not a deal breaker for me.

Get a 7 series if you don't want to compromise on features IMO

it does not. I just looked through the ordering guides from launch (2019) through current (2025), and ventilated seats were never an option for the G20 3-series. They are on the G22/23 4-series, and on the G8X, including the G80 M3 (I have them).

This is going to be an issue for you then. The LS and LC actually cool the air used for the cooled seats, very few other manufacturers do that and for sure BMW and MB don't.
