No. This is my second LS460 F sport. My first one was 2016 with a little over 100k miles. I sold it in January and was looking for a replacement.

Just curious, and if you don't mind sharing -- did you find the LS at a dealership or private party?

Congrats on your sweet new to you ride
I’ve been looking every day and sometimes twice a day on finding the right BMW 540i with all the options I wanted. I got tired and thought why don’t I just search for LS460 also. When the dealer in Wisconsin posted it up that same morning, I called and told them I would like to see carfax and original window stickers. While they were getting that to me, I punched in the VIN on Lexus.com and checked out the features and service history. When I saw that it’s a midnight series, I was pumped.
When the dealer sent the me the carfax and the Maroney along with some pictures, I put a deposit on it and it was marked sold to me even before they had a chance to post it on their website. It took about 2 weeks from talking to them, to paying online, paperwork sending back and forth, and the delivery.
At 30k miles, I don’t mind putting in the maintenance work and enjoy it for a long time.
A low mileage LS is not uncommon though getting less and less but they are around.
I saw one at a Lexus in San Antonio listed with just 15k miles. It’s not an f sport and is RWD and probably non air suspension. That will probably last you forever.

Great looking car and seems like it is better for you and what you were looking for. What is the difference between a regular F sport 460 and a midnight edition?

From what I gathered. It’s the limited edition or final edition before they went to LS500. Only 250 are made and only available in Caviar paint. This black paint is very metallic and looks stunning in the sun. The interior is a two tone black leather with saddle(the saddle is not overwhelming). The trims are shimoku wood trim vs. the aluminum trim on the F sport. I never like the aluminum trim. But all the F sport has it. The headliner on the roof has a stripe texture. The front grill is gloss black with dark chrome surrounding.

I wasn’t really looking for a Midnight Edition. Simply because it’s an F sport and only comes with air suspension and I was trying to avoid it this time around. The 2016 Nightfall edition was more desirable for me since it’s based on a non F sport trim. It’s actually more rare than the Midnight edition. Despite being limited special editions, these two trims come come with the LED triple beam headlights and you can’t option one with it. They only come with the Bi-Xenon headlights. I had the triple beam on my 2016 LS460 F sport, my RX350, and my LC500 and they are superior than the Bi-Xenon. This is the only thing I’m missing on this car. I’m looking for ways to see if I can swap the headlights from the Bi-xenon to triple LED.
The 30k miles and impeccably service history made me feel like it’s the right car. It drives like new and the overall condition is above my expectation on a used car. I don’t want to jinx it but I feel like I hit the lottery with this purchase. Even if it needs some component replacement, I won’t feel hesitant on spending the money on this car since it has a lot of life left. And I can take care of it at a young age.

Nick left you the RWD ones that didn’t make the Final Cut. 😆

You got yourself gem!! I would say your LS will be more desirable in the long run if you decide to get rid of it than a 540i would be.

Lol. I was actually considering a RWD with non air suspension for the simplicity. The AWD complicate a lot of things and loss of about 20HP and less MPG. But I live where there’s snow so AWD is nice. Not necessary but nice to have. With RWD, I would HAVE to change to snow tires in the winter. With AWD, I can get away with all season tires year round.

Someday, I will get a BMW. Hopefully, they will get over this latest design phase and come up with something more elegant.

LOL I'm all talk... I just can't part with my GS, which is what I'd have to do to get an LS. Not happening.

I love the GS. Wish they never discontinued it.
Before getting the 2020 GSF, I gave my 2015 GS350 F sport to my dad. I asked if he wants to have it back and he said no. lol. I almost bought a 2020 GS350 final edition black line a couple months ago as stated somewhere in this thread. They’re great cars. And unlike the LS, you won’t go broke replacing parts.
