BMW M340xi
Nvm....I thought I was going to sign a deal today, but I had to pulled it off due to way they do business.
I found a certified 2020 GS350 F Sport AWD Final Edition in Caviar down in FL. Price is a little high but the vehicle looks to be pristine. Just had brakes replaced and new tires put on and is Lexus certified. I put a refundable deposit on it so I can come home and look at the pictures and videos closer.
Upon closer inspection of the pictures, I saw the new tires they put on were some Chinese budget tires(I mean real cheap tires) called Dilante that's about $80 a piece. I pointed this out and they agreed to replace the tires with OEM Michellin. So I thought all good.
Then the finance lady called me up to set up the payment and I asked to get me a buyer's order worksheet of all my cost break down. Of course, the finance always want you to buy all the other crap and I said I'm not interested in any add-on. I just want the vehicle at the price we agreed and your dealer's processing fees. She sent me an email 2 hours later with the worksheet and what do I see on the very first line? A effing $200 charge on some "Value shield". I thought I made it pretty clear that I wasn't interested in any add-on. So that really pissed me off. Then there's a whole bunch of hidden fees she never mentioned. Some I never even heard of like $20 for third party agency tag. I bought many vehicles and I never seen this much fees that I don't understand. I mean, their dealer fees is already $800 then another $500 for doc fee. I told them to refund my deposit and we're done.
So now I'm back to square one.

Trust me. I do want the BMW. But finding a 540i with M sport, executive, and luxury, and M brakes, and ventilated seats is like mission impossible.
There's one at my local dealer 2022 with all that but it's missing the M brakes. Why would you have all that but cheap out on a $650 brake option. That brake option is like more than $3k after the fact.

I’m sure one exists. In fact, I missed out on one because I was too slow. But I was just learning about the 5 series and didn’t want to jump on it right away. I talked with the dealers about missing options and they blamed it on the Covid era of parts shortage.

I don’t want to deal with that. I just want to buy something that I like and drive it. Not buy something that I don’t really like and work on it until I like it.

You probably don't need the larger brakes, normal size brakes outclass the GS as is.
GS has 320mm
GSF is 355mm
Base 5 series is 348mm
Mid level is 374mm
M is 395mm
So it doesn't really matter as even the base car matches the full F car.......I have 400mm brakes on one my cars and it's not cheap at all to replace them. Most of the others have 355-385mm stuff and are far more reasonable price wise.
If you must have the mid level brakes then buy the car that has everything else and swap them on, otherwise you will be hunting forever. However if you are going to upgrade brakes might as well go full on crazy and get CCBs lol! That's what I did...

This is true. When I ordered my X7 in April 2021 I got lucky and was able to add every option but a couple months after certain options started dropping off due to supply issues. I can’t remember when things got back to normal but I think it was maybe a year later.
